Frigid Snow Clan First Elder
Frigid Snow Clan First Elder is the senior of Holy Snow City’s four Grand Elders. He negotiates the clan’s agreement with Meng Hao, directs the deployment of Lightning Sea Pills, and balances the city’s survival against fair treatment of outsiders during the siege.
Biography
Evaluating Meng Hao
First Elder initially avoids both Third Elder’s immediate trust and Fourth Elder’s call to kill Meng Hao. He invites Zhou Dekun to evaluate the poison and proposes dismissing Meng Hao only if Zhou can truly reproduce it. His caution still leaves him vulnerable to reputation: he admires Zhou and accepts the performance as more authoritative than his own limited understanding of alchemy. (Chapters 357–360)
Hanxue Zong’s arrival exposes the cost of that mistake. Holy Snow City needs the three-month reprieve offered through an alchemy contest, yet Zhou Dekun avoids personally competing. First Elder swallows his embarrassment and asks Meng Hao to concoct a pill, explicitly reopening negotiation over the larva. Meng Hao’s Pill Tribulation and Lightning Sea Pill prove decisive. After Zhou’s abduction, First Elder blocks Meng Hao’s departure, accepts the other elders’ apology, and promises that their combined effort will mature the larva within the half-year Meng Hao can remain. (Chapters 361–366)
Directing the city’s defense
When the full assault begins, First Elder assigns the four elders to different sectors and orders deployment of four Lightning Sea Pills. Holy Snow City’s snowstorm formations amplify each pill from an expected range of dozens of meters to roughly three hundred meters, shredding beasts and cultivators in lightning. The power buys time but also strains the formations, so it cannot be repeated without limit. (Chapter 367)
The four elders fight matched Nascent Soul opponents until the Thorn Rampart forces separation. First Elder uses the resulting month to prioritize the larva and city repairs. When Black Lands Dao Child Luo Chong offers safety to outside cultivators who abandon the city, First Elder refuses to detain them. He thanks them for the aid already given and allows each to choose, accepting military weakness rather than turning allies into prisoners. (Chapters 368–372)
Protecting the survivors
First Elder joins the combined defense that protects clan members from a Spirit Severing snort, taking internal injury. He later leads the survivors in thanking Meng Hao and works with the other elders on the teleportation spell. During the last attack, he realizes that their benefactor is also Patriarch Golden Light. Once reinforcements secure the array, he gives Meng Hao a final bow and evacuates with the clan. (Chapters 374, 379 and 381–382)
Appearance and personality
First Elder has white hair, ancient features, and a very short, stooped body. When he opens his eyes, their glow brightens the temple hall. He is cautious, practical, and senior enough to stop other elders from speaking while he gathers information. His strongest moral choice occurs under siege: he permits outsiders to leave freely even though every defender matters, preserving consent when coercion would be strategically tempting.
Abilities and cultivation
Nascent Soul cultivation
First Elder is a Nascent Soul expert able to command a city sector and fight an equivalent invading cultivator. The supplied chapters do not state his precise substage, and his senior office should not be treated as proof that he has the highest personal cultivation of all four.
Lightning Sea deployment
On his command, four magic pills are thrown into enemy formations. Contact triggers each pill into a sea of lightning that destroys flying beasts, ground forces, and surrounding terrain. The pills are Meng Hao’s creations; First Elder’s skill lies in choosing the moment and integrating them with Holy Snow City’s amplifying snow formations.
Defensive coordination
He directs the four Grand Elders across separate battle sectors and joins their combined shields. Together they protect clan members from power that kills lower cultivators outright, but all cough blood from the impact. This establishes effective coordination with a severe cost against Spirit Severing force.
Formation and evacuation leadership
First Elder helps focus clan resources on defensive arrays, the accelerated larva, and the teleportation spell linked to Frigid Snow cultivators in the Southern Domain. The escape requires days of preparation and many participants, preventing it from functioning as an instant personal teleport.
