Fifth Li Clan Patriarch
The Fifth Li Clan Patriarch is a great-circle Third Severing expert who uses Li Clan formations and a pink Feng Shui compass during the alliance’s assault on the Blood Demon Sect.
Biography
Assault on the Blood Demon Sect
The Fifth Li Clan Patriarch joins the allied sects and clans attacking the Blood Demon Sect. While other legacy powers batter the sect’s shields, he moves across the battlefield activating spell formations. He then produces a pink Feng Shui compass whose operation sends columns of pink light from the ground, adding the Li Clan’s formation power to the siege. (Chapter 736)
As the battle intensifies, he remains outwardly composed and directs the compass again. Its magical symbols sink into its surface and shine with an obscure natural law. He releases a thousand black flame birds formed from hellfire and killing intent, sending them against Meng Hao while the Solitary Sword Sect’s sword and the Golden Frost Sect’s puppet attack from other directions. The three forces are coordinated to keep destroying Meng Hao’s body faster than it can recover. (Chapter 739)
Death at the breach
After the allied army opens a breach, the patriarch enters the vanguard beside the Solitary Sword Sect’s early Dao Seeking expert and the Golden Frost Sect puppet. He issues orders to Li Clan Spirit Severing cultivators and repeatedly tries to pass Meng Hao’s position. Meng Hao’s exploding Time Sword tips halt the advance, after which the three senior attackers combine their strongest divine abilities. (Chapter 740)
The battle reverses when Meng Hao reaches the fourth level of the Blood Demon Grand Magic. The Fifth Li Clan Patriarch retreats in terror, but the Eighth Demon Sealing Hex stops him for the instant Meng Hao needs. The Blood Demon vortex absorbs his cultivation base, qi, and blood despite his magical items and resistance; Meng Hao then explodes the remains. (Chapter 741)
Appearance and personality
The patriarch’s sustained physical appearance is not detailed. His cold expression and controlled battlefield movements present him as methodical rather than impulsive. He prefers formations, ranged legacy power, and coordinated pressure. Once he witnesses the fourth-level Blood Demon Grand Magic kill an early Dao Seeking expert, however, he recognizes the threat immediately and chooses flight.
Abilities and cultivation
Great-circle Third Severing
His cultivation is at the great circle of the Third Severing, slightly below the alliance’s early Dao Seeking attacker but above ordinary Spirit Severing forces. This allows him to help pin Meng Hao down, command other experts, and resist the Blood Demon vortex briefly. The comparison in his death scene is explicit: if the stronger Dao Seeking expert could not survive, the Li patriarch could not.
Li Clan spell formations
He moves around the battlefield activating formations and can coordinate them with a mass army. These formations support the siege rather than serving as a single duel technique. They create battlefield pressure, reinforce breaches, and allow the Li Clan’s lower-ranking experts to act under unified orders.
Pink Feng Shui compass
The compass is his signature artifact. Its symbols invoke an enigmatic natural law, produce columns of pink light, and release roughly a thousand black birds made from black flame, hellfire, and refined killing intent. It is described as a subcomponent of a greater Li Clan legacy treasure, meaning its power is significant but not the complete inheritance.
