Amulet of the Dark Guardian
The Amulet of the Dark Guardian is a defensive growth item awarded to Jason after defeating the Oasis Tyrant. Its carved obsidian face bears his personal crest, and its powers convert the afflictions he spreads into protection and healing. (Chapter 203)
History
Jason receives the iron-rank legendary amulet as a quest reward. The intricate obsidian piece arrives on a chain already marked with the cloak, sun and eye of his soul crest, and it binds exclusively to him. Its design directly complements his combat style: the more afflictions he establishes across a battlefield, the more defensive resources the amulet produces. (Chapter 203)
The amulet advances with Jason to bronze and then silver rank. When Jason consumes the Soul-Imprinting Triune, he selects the amulet with the Cloud Flask and Hegemon’s Will, then still called Dread Salvation. The three become the Regalia of the Dark Hegemon, deepening their soul bonds and adding linked effects based on Jason’s aura and affliction powers. (Chapters 238, 396, 404)
Properties and use
Each affliction Jason applies generates an instance of Guardian’s Blessing. He can transfer accumulated blessings to another person by touch; each instance absorbs damage and, when consumed, becomes Blessing’s Bounty, a stacking healing-over-time effect. The supply is conditional rather than limitless. It depends on Jason continuing to apply afflictions, and intense damage can consume the shields faster than dying or departing enemies replenish them. The Regalia transformation adds Hegemon’s Authority. Every affliction produces a stack that helps allies inside Jason’s aura resist hostile aura suppression, while Jason can consume stacks to strengthen his own suppressive aura. This connects the amulet’s defence to battlefield control, but it remains dependent on targets, affliction application and Jason’s aura range. (Chapter 404)
