Biography

Yaresh and the messenger war

By the Yaresh period, Travis has chosen Pallimustus as the place where his technical curiosity and magic can become a life rather than a military assignment. He works with the Church of Knowledge to determine what Earth science he may responsibly introduce, then travels with Jason's extended circle as Farrah's engineering partner. The choice costs him an easy return: his family never accepted the actions that drew him into the Asano Clan, and he concludes that staying away may be better for everyone. (Chapters 594, 618)

Travis turns that displacement into infrastructure. He studies Jason's cloud flask so its vehicle forms can reproduce external weapons, and he proposes adapting slow magical record systems with Earth-style relays, cell towers and possibly satellites. Farrah supplies magical foundations while Travis supplies engineering models and an insistence on testing how the world's moons and magic affect the design.
