Timos is a methodical Builder cult infiltrator whose covert work in Greenstone is compromised by Thadwick Mercer.

Biography

Patience undone by a reckless recruit

Timos spends years operating without detection, using caution, hidden infrastructure, and local contacts to prepare the cult’s campaign. Thadwick recognises him and forces his way into the conspiracy, turning a potentially useful aristocratic asset into an immediate security disaster. Timos chooses to keep and control him rather than kill him, then leads the evacuation as Thalia Mercer’s purge destroys the network his patience built. (Chapters 154, 172, 189–196)

At the cult’s final refuge, Timos’s earlier precautions win Zato’s respect and promotion to second-in-command. He coordinates ritualists, converted captives, and construct teams during the attempt to seize the Reaper’s astral space. His careful competence keeps the remnant functional, but it is spent in service of atrocities and cannot prevent the cult’s decisive defeat. His fate after the central-tower fighting is not established. (Chapters 196, 201, 223–253)

Skills and abilities

Timos is skilled at infiltration, clandestine logistics, maps, ritual operations, and conjured-weapon combat. He values concealment and long preparation, but his position is vulnerable to allies who ignore operational discipline; much of his Greenstone network collapses because he cannot contain Thadwick and the Church of Purity’s haste. (Chapters 172, 196–201, 250–253)
