Shako

Shako is the regional primary vessel of the Builder and a diamond-rank cosmic agent.

Biography

A vessel constrained by pacts

Shako first acts against Jason through projection and intermediaries because cosmic pacts restrict where and how the Builder can use a vessel. He manipulates Li Chen into deploying a dimensional bomb, turning Earth’s hunger for power and national rivalry into an attack that kills Jason and creates a transformation zone. The scheme shows Shako’s reach, but also his limits: he needs mortal agents, loopholes, and carefully framed bargains because direct action would violate higher agreements. (Chapters 326, 417–435)

Later released temporarily from the Sundered Throne’s custody, Shako serves as the Builder’s channel in negotiations over stolen authority. He tries to seize it and is violently rejected by the power itself; when Jason completes the bargain, the World-Phoenix’s action against the Builder leaves Shako catatonic. He is taken back into custody, and later reports place him in a metaphysical prison represented as a chair. (Chapters 565–568, 841, 948)

Skills and abilities

Shako is a diamond-rank vessel capable of flight, extreme speed, aura power, projection, and safely channelling a great astral being. Pacts and imprisonment seal much of that power and can bar possession or direct intervention. As a vessel, he is also vulnerable to consequences aimed at the Builder while it inhabits him.
