Orange

Orange is a rough-spoken Australian scout in Nigel Thornton’s tactical section. His evil-eye abilities weaken priority targets for coordinated focus fire, making him a setup specialist rather than the section’s main source of damage. (Chapters 297–299)

Biography

Network scout to veteran operative

Orange meets Jason during a Network incursion and needles him while helping the section assess unfamiliar party and communication powers. In combat, he marks singular threats, undermines defensive abilities and weakens materials, once preparing a stairwell to collapse beneath pursuing ghouls. Years later the same team works as soldiers on a covert observation mission near former Asano territory. Orange complains about the apparent pointlessness, but obeys Nigel’s retreat order when Jason’s transformed aura changes the situation beyond anything they were hired to watch. Skills and relationships

Orange’s evil-eye set deals little direct damage but increases team lethality by making enemies more vulnerable and impairing their defences. He can also weaken physical materials, although the effect may require an actual impact before a structure collapses. (Chapters 299, 391)
