Mrs West is one of the EOA’s Four Cardinals, participating in the organisation’s secret strategic leadership as magic is exposed on Earth. She favours direct measures but usually works within Mr North’s balance of media, infiltration and accelerated timetables. (Chapters 280, 311, 335–364)

Biography

Escalating the EOA agenda

Mrs West first responds to Jason’s public emergence by asking whether he should be killed, then presses for a faster immediate response when the other cardinals judge an attack too risky. She directs compromised Network contacts and interprets Jason’s growing value to the Network as leverage for the EOA’s broader strategy. As leadership changes, West cultivates the new Mr East but resents Mr North drawing him away, revealing the factional competition beneath the cardinals’ formal unity. She nevertheless rejects reckless actions that would bring the world down on the EOA while its preparations remain incomplete. (Chapters 280, 311, 335–364)

Skills and relationships

Mrs West operates through agents, political leverage and compartmentalised plans rather than demonstrated personal combat. Her stern control and willingness to contemplate assassination make her dangerous, but she still measures actions against institutional survival. (Chapters 280, 311, 335–364)
