Biography

A father in an impossible family

Ken initially hesitates to accept essence magic, watching as other relatives rank up while deciding what the change means for him. As danger closes around the family, he accepts Jason's protection and the relocation that makes normal independence impossible. Two decades later he welcomes Zara with uncomplicated warmth, choosing to treat a politically charged alien princess as the first woman his son has brought home rather than another cosmic problem to solve.
