Gabrielle

Gabrielle Pellin is a priestess of Knowledge who first examines Jason's essences as a young acolyte. She later becomes the church's representative for decisions about transferring Earth knowledge to Pallimustus and, through her marriage to Travis, part of Jason's extended inter-world family. Biography

Serving Knowledge across worlds

Gabrielle's first aura-reading assignment fails because Jason's soul resists the device, yet she listens to her goddess and accurately identifies his essences rather than forcing a false result. Years later she advises Travis on what technology may responsibly cross worlds. Their marriage brings her back into Jason's circle, where old disagreements remain but Jason explicitly welcomes her as family, allowing duty and personal connection to coexist without pretending their history was simple. Skills and abilities

Gabrielle uses divine guidance, aura-reading tools and church authority to evaluate magic and knowledge transfer. Her expertise is interpretive and ethical as well as magical; unusual souls can defeat standard instruments, requiring judgement instead of blind trust in a device. (Chapters 38, 594)
