Biography

The failed assassination

Fal resents the Voice of the Will, Jes Fin Kaal, and correctly recognises that her order to kill Jason may also be an attempt to dispose of him. Pride still drives him into Jason’s cloud pyramid, where Taika Williams confronts him in hallways deliberately shaped to neutralise Fal’s superior mobility. Fal’s wind blades and speed cannot overcome Taika’s durability and momentum, and the changing structure prevents escape. He refuses surrender as dishonourable, is beaten unconscious and dragged away alive while the larger messenger attack continues. (Chapters 671–674)

Skills and relationships

Fal is a fast, mobile sword fighter with wings, explosive wind blades and rapid regeneration. He is dangerous in open air but lacks the concentrated force to breach the cloud structure; confined terrain turns his evasive style into a losing exchange against Taika’s strength. (Chapters 671–674)
