Claire Adeah is an elven healer on Rick Geller’s team and the twin sister of Hannah.

Biography

The protected centre of Team Geller

Claire enters the marsh battle as the member Team Geller’s formation is built to protect. Her cleansing can remove Jason Asano’s afflictions, making her both the team’s recovery engine and his priority target in their later mock battle. She resents the ruthless lesson when Jason incapacitates her first, but the experience forces the team to reckon with how readily a real enemy will exploit their dependence on a healer. Claire remains with Rick through years of advancement and reaches gold rank. In later battles she applies the same medical expertise at a much larger scale, joining specialist healers to inspect magically altered corpses and support teams confronting threats whose biology and magic do not follow familiar rules. Skills and abilities

Claire is a dedicated magical healer able to restore injuries and cleanse hostile conditions. Her value makes her a tactical vulnerability: she needs the team’s defenders and mobility specialists to keep enemies from removing her before she can sustain everyone else. At gold rank, her diagnostic knowledge also supports magical post-mortem investigation. (Chapters 67, 116–117, 945)
