Barry

Barry is a name used for two separate minor figures. The first is a Greenstone acquaintance remembered by Belinda Callahan and Sophie Wexler; Barry Sinise is an Earth administrator who becomes deputy director and operational mayor of an artefact city. (Chapters 134, 849, 931, 976)

Biography

Two men sharing a name

Belinda recalls the Greenstone Barry as an impulsive man who slept in a hammock and died when an anvil fell on him after a smithy was built on an upper floor. Barry Sinise is a different person: initially Lenora’s easy-going supervisor, he later becomes her deputy when she directs the international magical task force. Lenora handles powerful representatives while Barry keeps the city supporting them supplied and functional, sharing her administrative burden through repeated crises and the defence against astral pirates. Skills and relationships

Barry Sinise’s strength is municipal logistics rather than supernatural combat. His partnership with Lenora survives their reversal of rank—from her supervisor to her deputy—because he handles routine operations, risk questions and staff coordination while she manages diplomacy.
