Role in the story

Initially orders Raven away from Amy's rescue but yields to his loyalty on condition he obey retreats. Leads the hotel assault and fights Francis's forces; later assists the festival-secretary interrogation. Worries over Raven's death visions, pills and secret job, initially tails him believing he is gambling, then permits bodyguard work because they need money. Alive, still unaware of the full system/vision problem (412). (Chapters 40–412)

Appearance and personality

Long dark-red/crimson presentation associated with fire; commanding, cautious, protective. Twenty-two, striking and physically confident but romantically inexperienced; caring, nosy and comically prone to wrong conclusions.
