Velkaria

Velkaria is an Angel created to serve Yaleth, an Outer God, and later becomes one of Neo Hargraves's bonded companions. Her many bodies and divergent history place versions of her beside both Neo and Henry Hargraves, but they remain expressions of the same multi-bodied being rather than unrelated namesakes. Across those branches she shifts from planetary conqueror and recurring enemy to reluctant ally, resident of Neo's Cosmos, and family companion whose growth is tied to his. Biography

Shadow Trial and the conqueror who accepts a bet

Velkaria enters Neo's altered Age of Gods as an opponent so powerful that his guidance system says ordinary rank advancement will not let him harm her soon enough. As one of Yaleth's scout Angels, she is built to conquer weak planets and alert her God when a target requires a larger army. Corrupting a World Core places her beyond the reach of a Fifth-Stage God in her own account, yet the memory of encountering Hades terrifies her and reveals that even a successful planetary invader understands powers she cannot challenge. (Chapters 291 and 317)

Neo's eventual advantage comes from persistence and negotiation rather than one decisive overpowering attack. When the Shadow Trial approaches its conclusion, Velkaria accepts a verbal bet with him. Neo trusts that she will honor the agreement, while she studies the confidence he places in Daniel. Their exchange establishes a recurring pattern: Velkaria is hostile, profane, and dangerous, but she treats bargains and bonds as meaningful constraints. That reliability gives Neo room to carry her out of a history that is about to disappear. (Chapter 330)

Captive counsel and a bond in Shadow Space

Back on Luminera, Velkaria survives as an eye hidden within Neo's Shadow Space. Her presence is conspicuous enough that he needs sealed rooms to release her, and her arrogance evaporates when she learns that an apparently weak academy principal is stronger than she is. Neo nevertheless depends on her knowledge of World Cores, Angels, and hostile cosmic powers. She guides him through Underworld spaces, identifies the Fifth-Stage God guarding a World Core, and fights beside someone she had treated as prey. (Chapters 339–340, 354, 361, and 365)

Neo uses Crownless King to create a fundamental Major Bond despite Velkaria's resistance. The bond grants him Resilience and Shared Growth: her survival aptitude becomes his, and her future growth can strengthen him. Velkaria can maintain multiple bodies and repopulate while any one survives, making total destruction difficult, while her Void-infused attacks can permanently corrupt souls that ordinary damage cannot kill. The connection turns coexistence into mutual consequence without making either participant obedient or erasing their regular arguments. (Chapters 394, 416, and 431)

Tartarus, reborn worlds, and chosen companionship

In the Abyss of Nightmares, Velkaria initially fears being eaten and treats cooperation as another survival problem. Her role broadens as Neo's new Cosmos develops. She recognizes it as a budding universe, accompanies his rescues, and watches him reconstruct the worlds and consciousnesses consumed during his advance. When the reborn inhabitants need direction, she volunteers to speak for him, then improvises a theatrical proclamation naming him their “Godfather.” The speech is irreverent, but its central command—to use a second chance rather than waste it—helps restrain people awakening into chaos. (Chapters 416, 502, and 512–514)

That ordinary friction becomes companionship. Velkaria sketches, gossips about Neo to Celestra, asks to be included rather than stored away, and perches on him while questioning the rules of his world. She attends the final celebration of Tartarus's victims instead of withdrawing once the fighting is done. Neo still squeezes or scolds her when jokes cross his limits, but those exchanges occur inside a continuing shared life. The former invader has become a resident who contributes judgment, humor, and presence to the society Neo is learning to maintain. (Chapters 511, 513–514, and 532)

Henry's contract and divergent bodies

Later revelations expose another Velkaria body beside Henry. The Angel descended through the Temple of Void, fought Neo's reincarnated parents, and was mortally injured along with Henry. To keep both alive, she formed a symbiotic contract: Henry would conceal and avoid harming her, while Velkaria relinquished her powers to him for the length of his life. The borrowed strength raised an otherwise unawakened Henry to Stage-3-equivalent force, restored his health, and shortened his already mortal lifespan through prolonged contact with Void. (Chapters 556–557 and 568–569)

Velkaria initially wants Henry to die so the contract will release her, yet grief arrives when his death actually comes. The narrative explicitly distinguishes the body traveling with Neo from the one contracted to Henry while still treating both as Velkaria's possible history. Her ability to sustain multiple bodies explains that divergence: one branch attacked Earth in the Age of Gods and followed Neo, while another lived through the events that destroyed the Hephaestus Clan and remained with Henry. Separate bodies accumulate separate immediate experiences without becoming unrelated character identities. (Chapters 416, 556–557, 569, and 574)

Fallen Angel and Persephone's gift

When Velkaria leaves the Shadow World, her connection to the version of Yaleth who created her breaks. Yaleth classifies her as a Fallen Angel and says that, under the current conditions, she cannot grow stronger through the former divine link. That loss creates dependence on Neo's Cosmos and their bond but also separates her future from the conquest function for which she was made. The restriction is explicit; the story does not replace it with a numbered personal God stage. (Chapter 574)

Persephone Hargraves later restores Velkaria's humanoid form and golden halo as thanks for staying with Neo when he was alone. The gift exposes the life beneath the monster: before Void corruption she was celebrated for her voice and beauty, and she never wanted to kill her own world. Yaleth destroyed the planet and sealed its spirit to spare her from doing so herself, earning a loyalty that led Velkaria to commit the same violence elsewhere. Persephone understands that contradiction as victimhood within cruel Heavenly Laws without declaring the harm unreal. (Chapter 620)

Appearance and personality

Velkaria's corrupted form is the Thousand-Eyed Despair, often condensed into a floating eyeball but capable of expanding into a chaotic mass of twisted flesh and many eyes. Separate bodies allow her to change scale and survive the destruction of one manifestation. Void corruption makes the form mentally and spiritually dangerous to nearby beings; Neo therefore keeps her within Shadow Space or his Cosmos when ordinary surroundings cannot conceal her presence. (Chapters 339–340, 354, 416, 493, and 569)

Persephone's healing restores a humanoid woman and a golden halo. Velkaria remembers an earlier life in which her appearance and singing voice made her a celebrity, before corruption transformed both body and purpose. The restored appearance does not remove her Angel nature or history, but it returns a self-image she believed permanently lost. (Chapter 620)

She is proud, profane, theatrical, and quick to mock almost any solemn situation. Fear turns that bravado into conspicuous submission, while affection often appears as insults, unwanted commentary, or a demand not to be excluded. Velkaria's loyalty is unusually durable once given: she honors bargains, remains devoted to Yaleth because he spared her from destroying her own people, and grows genuinely attached to Henry and Neo despite beginning both relationships through coercion or hostility. (Chapters 317, 330, 339–340, 511–514, 557, 569, and 620)

Powers and limitations

Angelic conquest and World Core corruption

As Yaleth's Angel, Velkaria serves as a scout able to conquer planets and corrupt their World Cores. Once a Core is compromised, she can draw on the world's position strongly enough that she claims even a Fifth-Stage God cannot defeat her there. This advantage depends upon circumstances and does not establish Velkaria as a Fifth-Stage God; Neo explicitly corrects observers who mistake her for a God. (Chapters 291, 317, and 339–340)

Her knowledge includes World Core development, Outer God structures, Ascenders, and the consequences of crossing cosmic boundaries. Neo repeatedly keeps her close because those answers are otherwise inaccessible. Knowledge is not obedience: she may omit context, complain, or interpret questions through her own experience, so Neo tests her advice against other sources. (Chapters 354, 361, and 365)

Void corruption and mental attack

Velkaria's body and attacks are saturated with Void. She specializes in mental pressure and can corrupt souls so thoroughly that beings protected by ordinary immortality die permanently. Her true corrupted anatomy exemplifies Void's ability to twist flesh, consciousness, and stable form. Such power also creates danger for allies and hosts; Henry's contract gradually reduces his lifespan even while lending him strength. (Chapters 416, 493, 568–569)

Void does not make her invulnerable. Stronger entities can frighten, contain, or damage her, and leaving her originating world severs the divine connection needed for growth. She fears being devoured because survival through another body does not prevent the pain of the body being consumed. (Chapters 317, 339–340, 416, and 574)

Multiple bodies and survival

Velkaria can maintain multiple bodies and repopulate so long as one survives. This mechanism supports the distinct branches seen beside Neo and Henry and makes physical destruction of one body insufficient to end her. Immediate memory and circumstance can diverge between manifestations, so statements about “the Velkaria with him” and “the Velkaria with Henry” describe separate active bodies rather than a simple continuity error. (Chapters 416 and 556–557)

The story does not establish instant, perfect information sharing between every body. Each branch reacts to local events and develops its own relationship, which is why Henry's Velkaria can grieve a contract partner while Neo's companion participates elsewhere. They remain one multi-bodied canonical character, but body-specific custody and actions must be attributed carefully. (Chapters 556–557 and 569–574)

Crownless King bond

Neo's Major Bond with Velkaria grants him Resilience and activates Shared Growth. Resilience improves survival and adaptation in hostile environments; Shared Growth lets Neo grow stronger when Velkaria grows. The link also makes thoughts and emotions clearer between them, increasing mutual exposure without functioning as automatic mind control. (Chapters 394, 416, and 431)

The bond cannot override Velkaria's Fallen Angel limitation by itself. Yaleth explicitly says she cannot presently grow stronger after losing the link to her God, so Shared Growth describes a mechanism whose immediate fuel is restricted, not proof of an unseen rank increase. (Chapters 431 and 574)

Neo Hargraves

Velkaria and Neo fight for centuries in altered history before becoming captive and captor, bonded partners, and finally companions. Their Major Bond makes growth reciprocal, while ordinary life in his Cosmos turns hostility into argumentative trust. Persephone later thanks Velkaria for remaining with Neo when he was alone. (Chapters 291–330, 339–416, 502–514, and 620)

Yaleth

Yaleth is Velkaria's creator and God. She serves him because he spared her from personally destroying her corrupted home, even though he killed its population and sealed its spirit. Their relationship combines genuine gratitude with the coercive logic of the Heavenly Laws and Yaleth's conquests. (Chapters 317, 557, 574, and 620)

Henry Hargraves

One Velkaria body forms a symbiotic contract with Henry after both are mortally injured. She lends all her power while he lives and initially anticipates freedom through his death, but years inside him create real attachment and grief. The arrangement saves him and also damages his lifespan. (Chapters 556–557 and 568–569)

Persephone Hargraves

Persephone restores Velkaria's former body and refuses to reduce her history to either innocent victim or unredeemable conqueror. Her gift acknowledges the support Velkaria gave Neo and returns a form of personal identity that Void had taken away. (Chapter 620)

Items

Velkaria has no separately listed signature artifact. Her eye form, multiple bodies, halo, and Henry's contract are parts of her character state rather than possessions.
