Kaelus

Kaelus is an aggressive Ancient Dragon who serves alongside Velion and Aerion during the Alliance's campaign against the rising Heavenbreakers. “Ancient Dragon” is a classification, not a numbered Stage stated for him. (Chapter 741)

Biography

The Alliance intervention and Neo's repeated executions

Kaelus arrives at the sealed Site convinced that the future Supremes below must be contained. He condemns Hades's alleged manipulation of Earth's births yet readily chooses violence over a perceived insult. When Zeus challenges the dragons, Kaelus welcomes the fight, only to be knocked from the sky. He later remains with Velion to maintain the seal on Neo's clone and deploys a golem supplied by “I” after Aerion falls. (Chapters 741, 748, and 751)

Kaelus later helps guard the captured Heavenbreaker and vents his anger by devastating descendants of people who offended him. When Neo escapes, Kaelus and Velion trap the battlefield in an independent space. Neo detonates copied Black Suns, erases both dragons, reverses their deaths, and repeats the destruction until their will breaks. They subsequently vanish, with the Alliance unable to find them; the novel does not show a stable death, escape, or reincarnation. (Chapters 759, 762–767)

Appearance and personality

Kaelus is a massive dragon with a violent temper, contempt for perceived disrespect, and fierce pride in draconic creations. His cruelty toward remote descendants contrasts with a softer, concealed tendency to guide younger dragon siblings. (Chapters 759, 761–763)

Powers and limitations

Kaelus has immense draconic physical power, flight, claws, spatial movement, and access to Dragon techniques and external weapons. Neo's time reversal defeats the value of his reincarnation by restoring him only to repeat the same loss. No personal numbered existence stage is stated. (Chapters 748, 751, and 762–764)

Relationships

Velion is Kaelus's calmer elder and operational partner. Their trust survives doubts about “I,” but it cannot protect them from Neo's loop. Aerion is a fellow dragon whose death Kaelus resents even while Velion remains detached. (Chapters 748–751 and 759–764)
