Great Cosmos-Severing Spear
The Great Cosmos-Severing Spear is Spiera’s supreme spear art, formed by unifying the principles of multiple weapon masteries. It becomes one of the central components of Yu IlHan’s later transcendent technique.
History
Spiera’s unattainable lesson
Spiera first describes the art while discussing the evolution of Yu IlHan’s spear skills. She learned it only after reaching sixth class and explains that its creation requires the fusion of several weapon masteries rather than simple excellence with a spear. Her instruction gives Yu IlHan a distant objective, but not an immediate path to completion. (Chapter 118)
Yu IlHan trains with swords, whips, and blunt weapons while preserving the balance of his spear technique. He gradually learns to apply one weapon’s defining characteristic through another and eventually stops treating different weapons as wholly separate disciplines. (Chapters 173–174 and 192)
Learning through combat
Spiera demonstrates the Great Cosmos-Severing Spear against higher existences, killing the sixth-class Teraka and later confronting Echjar. Yu IlHan initially cannot reproduce the art, even after prolonged training. Fighting and defeating Spiera gives him direct experience of its completed form and satisfies a decisive condition for learning it. (Chapters 243–244 and 254)
Union with an untraceable spear
Yu IlHan finally acquires the skill and immediately combines it with the Spear of Untraceable Trajectory. The resulting attacks preserve the Great Cosmos-Severing Spear’s unified force while multiplying or hiding their approach, producing shockwaves capable of killing higher existences. The skill eventually reaches level eighty-six with Spear Mastery, physical combat, sword, whip, and blunt-weapon principles in its composition. It is later fused into Transcendent Trajectory. (Chapters 265, 284, 295, and 333)
Abilities and properties
- Unifies several weapon disciplines into a single spear art rather than switching between separate skills. (Chapters 118, 173–174, and 192)
- Carries the cutting, striking, flexible, and piercing principles of other weapons through a spear attack. (Chapters 173–174 and 284)
- Produces force sufficient to threaten and kill higher existences. (Chapters 243–244 and 265)
- Combines with the Spear of Untraceable Trajectory without losing either technique’s defining principle. (Chapter 265)
