Flemir
Flemir is the head of Kiroa’s Royal Guardians, Ericia’s protector, and a veteran commander of the surviving wolfkin.
Biography
A captain at Kiroa’s collapsing gate
Flemir first met Yu IlHan while Kiroa was collapsing under higher-existence interference. As captain of the Royal Guardians, he was responsible for moving surviving wolfkin through the gate to Earth and holding together a people divided between Ericia’s followers, black wolves, and enemies aligned with the Destruction Demon Army. He initially treated the unknown human as another danger. The balance changed when Yu IlHan killed opponents the wolves could not handle and demonstrated that neither Kiroa’s numbers nor Flemir’s own fourth-class strength could force him aside. (Chapters 112–115)
Flemir’s priority was not pride but the absent princess. When Ericia returned and faced Yu IlHan, Flemir pleaded for her survival even though he expected to be powerless if the request was refused. Ericia instead submitted voluntarily, recognizing that alliance offered the surviving wolfkin a future. Flemir accepted her decision, helped settle the immediate conflict, and later returned the wolves to Kiroa. His service to Yu IlHan began as an extension of the oath he already understood: follow the path that keeps Ericia and her people alive. (Chapters 115–117 and 171–172)
Royal guard and battlefield commander
That oath repeatedly placed Flemir in command rather than at Ericia’s side. When Yumir’s party was stranded in an Abandoned World, Flemir led elite wolves on the front line while Ericia coordinated the larger force. His presence gave the young fighters a fourth-class anchor against masses of third-class monsters: he could break the strongest immediate threats, keep the formation from collapsing, and let less powerful allies fight within a survivable front. The campaign also showed the limits of that role. He was an elite guard and shock fighter, not a substitute for Ericia’s broader authority or for the overwhelming enemies Yu IlHan faced elsewhere. (Chapters 138–141)
Flemir later represented Earth in the Battle of Competition, where he could match other fourth-class entrants without losing the disciplined habits of a royal guard. Through later cataclysms he guarded gates, watched over public gatherings such as auctions, and organized wolves whose survival depended on crossing worlds at the right moment. When asked what he wanted or what he had accomplished, he habitually reduced the answer to protecting Ericia. The simplicity is revealing: command, migration, and combat are all expressions of the same duty rather than separate ambitions. (Chapters 143–147, 171–172, and 228–233)
Dragon’s Nest and the Langs
Flemir entered Dragon’s Nest when Yu IlHan reorganized his allies as higher existences. He became a fifth-class dragon without discarding the wolfkin record on which his life and techniques had been built. That overlap proved useful: Ericia’s blessing of the moon could strengthen dragons, and its effect on Flemir was exceptionally high because he was still, in record and instinct, a wolfkin subordinate to her. Yu IlHan entrusted the pair with Daréu’s defense, pairing Ericia’s wide-area support and command with Flemir’s direct protection. (Chapters 316 and 321)
In the later peace, his responsibility widened from one royal person to the Langs as a people. Flemir brought their survival concerns before their queen and spoke for those who could not simply assume that the new divine order guaranteed them a place. He remained deferential to Ericia, but the act shows growth within the same oath: a true royal guardian must tell his ruler what her people need, not merely intercept weapons aimed at her body. (Chapter 367)
Appearance and personality
Flemir can appear as a humanoid wolfkin or as a black wolf, with the physical power and predatory movement of his race remaining evident in either form. Prolonged campaigns sharpen his aura, but his habitual bearing is stiff and controlled rather than feral. His transformation is functional: the humanoid form allows speech, command, and ordinary interaction, while the wolf form emphasizes the body he uses for pursuit and close battle. (Chapters 113–116 and 141)
He is disciplined, literal, and a poor actor. Attempts to conceal his feelings are easily read, especially when Ericia or the wolves are in danger. Threats to them can provoke immediate anger, but he is capable of swallowing personal humiliation when survival requires negotiation. His devotion to Ericia is almost absolute without being entirely passive; by the end of the corpus, he can voice the Langs’ needs to her precisely because he understands guardianship as responsibility rather than flattery. (Chapters 115–116, 231, and 367)
Abilities and classes
Fourth-class wolfkin body and transformation
Flemir begins as a powerful fourth-class wolfkin. His combat foundation is physical: high speed closes distance, a reinforced body survives exchanges that would kill lower-class wolves, and claws, fangs, and close-quarters force let him tear through ordinary monsters. Changing between humanoid and black-wolf forms lets him choose between dexterous command and a body optimized for pursuit and melee. This strength is decisive against massed third-class creatures and comparable fourth-class opponents, but it does not erase class differences; beings at the top of fourth class or above can still overpower him, and he cannot solve Kiroa’s invasion alone. (Chapters 113–115 and 143–146)
Royal Guard command
Flemir’s principal learned skill is battlefield organization. He leads elite wolfkin as a coherent guard rather than a loose pack, places his own fourth-class body where the line is most likely to break, and creates room for weaker allies to attack without being surrounded. In the Abandoned World, that means holding the front while Ericia manages the larger battle and Yumir’s group gains experience. The method scales well against numerous enemies because the wolves coordinate their speed and concentrate force; it is less suited to enemies so powerful that formation and numbers cease to matter. (Chapters 138–141)
His command also covers evacuation, gate security, and crowd protection. Flemir can judge when the royal guard should fight, when it should escort civilians through a gate, and when accepting another leader’s protection is the only viable choice. These competencies are nonmagical but central to why the wolfkin survive several world-scale transitions. (Chapters 112–117, 171–172, and 228–233)
Fifth-class dragon and lunar enhancement
Within Dragon’s Nest, Flemir advances into the fifth class and acquires a dragon constitution. The change raises the scale of his mana and physical ability while preserving his former wolfkin record. That continuity creates an unusually strong interaction with Ericia’s blessing of the moon: the blessing can target Dragon’s Nest’s dragons, but Flemir receives especially pronounced strengthening because its original wolfkin affinity still recognizes him. It is a support-dependent advantage rather than power he produces alone, and its best use comes from deploying him near Ericia as her frontline guard. (Chapters 316 and 321)
The result is not that Flemir becomes one of Dragon’s Nest’s supreme individuals; the text still identifies him as a fifth-class existence amid allies and enemies of higher classes. His value lies in multiplying dependable strengths—body, discipline, pack tactics, and a compatible blessing—into a defender capable of protecting Daréu and the Langs under the new order. (Chapters 321 and 367)
