Anastasia

Anastasia is a demon marquis aligned with Grand Duke Pandemonium. She competes at the Demon World Auction, deploys creatures during the angel event, and investigates the Korean dungeon for her faction. Believing Randalph Brigsiel dead, she later joins three other Pandemonium demons in a prolonged invasion. Randalph returns and kills all four, a result explicitly confirmed afterward.

Biography

Auction bidder and Pandemonium scout

Anastasia first appears as a well-funded auction bidder, but her more consequential work is done in Korea. During the angel event she threatens to destroy the unidentified dungeon in order to force its owner into the open, then attacks Marquis Dellat with her death knight when factional suspicion rises. The maneuver entangles both demons in the conflict Randalph engineered. She subsequently remains near the dungeon with surviving creatures because discovering its master would give Pandemonium strategic leverage, but news of danger to her own fixed dungeon forces her to abandon the investigation and return. (Chapters 64–69, 84–86, and 94–97)

Final invasion and death

After Randalph is presumed dead, Anastasia joins Duke Dipella, Earl Amurun, and Marquis Jenerald in attacking his ownerless Korean dungeon for Pandemonium. Resistance holds them below the upper floors for more than a year, yet they persist because the fifteenth floor appears to conceal a power resembling the world tree. Their assumption that no Dungeon Master can reinforce the defenders makes the final push seem safe. Randalph then returns, confronts the four intruders, and reverses the battle; a later account names Anastasia among the four demons he killed, conclusively establishing her fate. (Chapters 141 and 147)

Appearance and personality

Anastasia is identified as female, but the corpus does not provide a stable description of her face, hair, clothing, or demonic features. Visible reactions—her face reddening when challenged and her frequent frowns or clenched teeth—serve the scenes' emotional emphasis rather than a complete physical portrait. (Chapters 84–86, 94–97, and 141)

She is forceful, proud, suspicious, and politically calculating. Her threats are sometimes bluffs designed to pressure an unseen enemy, yet she readily commits her creatures once provoked. She prioritizes useful intelligence for Pandemonium and recognizes when her own dungeon is in danger, but her faction's confidence in Randalph's death ultimately leads her into a siege whose apparent prize outweighs caution. (Chapters 84–86, 94–97, and 141)

Abilities and powers

Creature command

Anastasia commands a death knight and an advanced medusa, and she contributes a creature force comparable in size to Marquis Dellat's during the angel conflict. Her death knight can attack on her order, while the medusa reports intelligence and receives withdrawal commands. These scenes establish command resources, not that their individual powers belong to Anastasia herself. (Chapters 84–86 and 94–97)

Marquis-level standing

Her title places Anastasia above demon earls and gives her enough political and military weight to act as Pandemonium's investigator and join the four-demon assault. The corpus does not name a personal combat skill or provide a direct statistical appraisal, so her precise individual mechanics remain unestablished. (Chapters 64–69, 94–97, and 141)
