Vrah is a mantis hunter with thousands of reported kills who becomes one of the most dangerous recurring predators at the sixth-floor Butcher's Masquerade.

Biography

The Hunting Grounds and the Masquerade

Vrah enters the floor with a reputation for returning every hunting season and wearing the severed heads of her victims. Ian identifies her as the killer of his brother, giving Carl's alliance a personal reason to confront her beyond simple survival. Vrah stalks the crawlers through the hunting phase and later leads a coordinated push at the Masquerade, relying on the hunters' experience and hesitation among rival groups. The crawlers reverse that advantage with an ambush: Samantha opens the attack through the ceiling while Mongo and Kiwi fall upon Vrah, killing her as the hunters' formation collapses. Her death removes a long-standing predator and becomes one of the broadcast moments that drives later attention to Carl's group. (Chapters 145–217)

Appearance and personality

Vrah is a mantis-like outworlder whose most notorious visual trait is the collection of victim heads worn on her body. She is patient, experienced, and terrifying enough that survivors warn others to avoid her, but reacts with rage when the Masquerade ambush turns against her.
