Tserendolgor

Tserendolgor, usually shortened to Ren, is a Dog Soldier crawler whose flamethrower makes her a recurring long-range ally and rival of Donut. She survives the fifth-floor disaster with her bubble intact, participates in the Butcher's Masquerade, and is killed during the eighth-floor struggle for a stairwell key. (Chapters 105, 137–141, 208–219, 269–281)

Biography

The Gate of the Feral Gods

Tserendolgor first appears as a Level 27 Dog Soldier and Crisper operating a flamethrower. By the end of the fifth floor she is responsible for a bubble containing 160 people who have not lost anyone, but Emberus traps them while the world inside overheats. She calls for help while still trying to place the last gem, and after Carl's intervention drives the god away, a flying member of her group completes the bubble. The rescue lets the entire group take the stairs; her platinum box also upgrades her flamethrower, strengthening the weapon around which her combat style is built. (Chapters 105, 137–141)

The Hunting Grounds and the Masquerade

Her growing audience profile earns her a CrawlCon appearance and the pet Garret, a durable Belly Acher that can draw attacks. On the sixth floor she tests vampire behavior at range, reports that Ultraviolet applied to her flamethrower kills the transformed creatures quickly, and chooses shelter rather than risk the rain. At the Masquerade she brings Garret into the pet show and joins the crawlers' collective stand; even Donut briefly sets aside their feud and climbs onto her shoulder. (Chapters 176, 189, 207–219)

The Eighth Floor and Bedlam

Tserendolgor later comforts Britney about facial scarring by disclosing that she once bore a similar scar. Her own squad's key attempt ends with two members dead and no key, forcing them toward another team's contest. When Carl's group intervenes in her battle, she continues using her flamethrower despite the card-game conditions, but she is ultimately killed; her name moves into the deceased-crawler folder before she can receive Carl's message. (Chapters 243, 269, 277–281)

Faction Wars at Larracos

Tserendolgor's influence persists through what the survivors recover from her. Carl receives a platinum box named for her after the intervention in her final battle, while Jamal later uses her flamethrower, Velma, after Rosetta's team modifies it for his harness. These inheritances turn her signature weapon and system image into practical support for the ninth-floor war, although the corpus does not establish that she deliberately bequeathed them. (Chapters 298–300, 368)

Appearance and personality

Her Dog Soldier body resembles an upright German Shepherd, with fur, a muzzle, and canine ears accommodated by holes in a Vietnam-era helmet. Her backpack flamethrower is integrated with her shirt, making it awkward to remove. She is blunt about being misgendered and willing to argue with Donut, but her panic for 160 trapped people, caution during the vampire outbreak, and later support of Britney show responsibility beneath the abrasive rivalry. (Chapters 105, 137, 189, 208, 243)

Skills, class, and abilities

Crisper class and Velma

Tserendolgor's demonstrated specialization is her backpack flamethrower, later identified as Velma. It provides sustained ranged fire, receives an upgrade from her fifth-floor platinum box, and remains usable during the eighth-floor card battle. She can cast Ultraviolet on the weapon, making its fire effective against vampire creatures. The corpus does not explain the Crisper class's full skill list, fuel limits, or the exact statistics of the upgrade; loss of the weapon during mandatory disarmament also exposes how equipment-dependent her offense is. (Chapters 105, 141, 189, 208, 279, 368)

Garret and field coordination

Garret is a Level 20 Belly Acher received after CrawlCon. He can absorb heavy punishment and attract incoming attacks, giving Tserendolgor a defensive partner for public exhibitions and combat. She also coordinates a mixed squad that includes a long-range sling user, shares threat intelligence over chat, and protects a large bubble population. Garret is a companion rather than an innate ability, and neither his custody after her death nor the complete fate of her squad is established. (Chapters 137–141, 189, 207, 212, 261)

Relationships

  • Donut: Their rivalry begins with Donut's hostility toward a dog-themed crawler and accusations about stolen experience. It remains sharp through the pet show, but Donut's moment of solidarity at the Masquerade and anger at Ren's final battle show that the antagonism does not erase their shared cause. (Chapters 105, 189, 208–219, 277)
  • Carl: Carl helps save her bubble, exchanges battlefield intelligence with her, and later intervenes in her key fight. The last intervention cannot save her, but it produces a system box bearing her name. (Chapters 137–141, 189, 277–300)
  • Garret: Tserendolgor cares for and presents the Belly Acher as her pet. His tanking ability complements her ranged fire. (Chapters 207–212)
  • Britney: Tserendolgor uses her own past scarring to help Britney accept a severe facial injury. (Chapter 243)

Items

No personal item link is assigned to Tserendolgor in the current manifest. Her notable equipment is the backpack flamethrower Velma, upgraded on the fifth floor and later adapted for Jamal after her death; the precise transfer into the survivors' custody is not shown. (Chapters 105, 141, 279, 368)
