Porky

Porky is the left half of the mantaur performer Corcunda, created when Split Personality divides the original body and mind. He pursues Corcunda's dream of singing, then chooses reunion with the dancer half Corky despite the risk that neither separate personality will survive intact. (Chapters 418, 453–460)

Biography

The Parade of Horribles

After the split, Porky initially works at the Penis Parade with Corky but leaves when Corky's relationship with Dong makes him angry. He becomes the isolated guildmaster of a performance-based singing guild, fulfilling one of Corcunda's two dreams while living alone in a body-containment suit. Because both halves share memories only up to the split, Porky's later resentment belongs to the separate life he builds afterward. (Chapters 418, 453)

Carl finds him stranded on the guild stage by a stuck zipper. Once freed, Porky grants Razzmatazz levels and agrees to help rescue Corky, partly because either half's death will kill the other. He initially demands help confronting Dong, but a private conversation reveals that he kept Dong's scarf despite claiming to hate him. Porky then accompanies Dong into the race, physically reassuring him as they approach the dangerous reunion. (Chapters 453–457)

During the heat, Grigori and Dong keep both bisected bodies alive while placing Porky and Corky together. Porky calmly tells his confused other half that it is time to reunite. Their health bars join and the two become one Corcunda, completing the quest and ending Porky's existence as an independent half; the exact balance of the two personalities in the restored whole is not immediately established. (Chapters 459–460)

Appearance and personality

Porky is literally one vertical half of a well-built mantaur, sealed in a snow-white latex containment suit covered with zippers. His flat side bulges with organs and half a brain, and he moves by hopping on one foot; a half tongue and single visible brown eye complete the unsettling body. He is polite, lonely, musically enthusiastic, resentful toward Dong, and ultimately willing to surrender separate identity for wholeness. (Chapters 453–460)

Skills, class, and abilities

Performance and vocal instruction

As Stage Performance Guild master, Porky recognizes performance potential and can grant skill levels in Razzmatazz. He advises Donut that transcendent singing depends far more on audience connection and stage presence than raw vocal talent. His expertise concerns nonmagical performance rather than bard spells, and he is not shown using song as a combat effect. (Chapters 453–454)

Split body and containment suit

Split Personality gives Porky Corcunda's memories up to division but a separately developing mind afterward. His suit recycles water and keeps exposed organs contained; he does not eat, and standing with an open seam makes his insides spill. Damage or a failed zipper is life-threatening, and Porky states that Corky's death will kill him as well. Reunion requires a fleshmancer, stabilization magic, physical contact, and extreme care around both half-brains. (Chapters 418, 453–460)

Relationships

  • Corky: Corky is Porky's other physical and psychological half. They diverge after the split but ultimately accept reunion into Corcunda. (Chapters 418, 453–460)
  • Dong Quixote: Porky resents Dong's romance with Corky yet keeps Dong's scarf and listens when Dong explains the relationship. He supports Dong during the race before reuniting. (Chapters 418, 455–460)
  • Carl: Carl frees Porky's zipper, finds a fleshmancer, and arranges the reunion, while initially underestimating Porky's emotional stake. (Chapters 453–460)

Items

No personal item link is assigned to Porky in the current manifest. His white body-containment suit is essential life support, and Dong's unenchanted scarf is a keepsake retained from Corky; neither has a planned item page. (Chapters 453–460)
