Gwen
Gwen is a crawler in the Meadow Lark network who coordinates scattered teams through the fifth and sixth floors. Her reliable messages help manage bubbles, tomb raiders, and hunter operations before she dies in the Butcher's Masquerade fighting. (Chapters 111, 131–142, 205, 219)
Biography
The Gate of the Feral Gods
Gwen establishes contact with Carl while mapping fifth-floor villages and explains that her “proper lady” status gives her Club Vanquisher rather than Desperado access. She relays changing doors, storms, and local dangers, then joins Tran's team in looting the subterranean tomb-raider area after the water drains. Her value comes from keeping other groups informed when the bubble layout fragments the crawler population. (Chapters 111, 131, 135, 142)
The Hunting Grounds and the Masquerade
On the sixth floor, Gwen remains one of Katia's trusted candidates for dangerous coordination work and helps surround a hunter position from the rear with Bautista. She reaches the Masquerade but dies in its final violence alongside Firas and other coalition members. Donut's shocked inventory of the dead makes Gwen's loss part of the emotional cost of the escape. (Chapters 155, 205, 219)
Appearance and personality
The corpus gives little physical detail for Gwen. Her own “proper lady” joke suggests a self-aware, irreverent manner, and her communications are concise under pressure. She is trusted enough to coordinate independent teams without constant supervision. (Chapters 111, 131, 155)
Skills, class, and abilities
Gwen demonstrates field communication, map awareness, looting, and coordinated combat, but no race, class, numeric level, or signature spell is stated in the supplied evidence. Her Club Vanquisher access is a social-system permission rather than a combat power. (Chapters 111, 142, 205)
Relationships
- Tran: Gwen travels and explores with Tran's team on the fifth floor. (Chapter 142)
- Katia: Katia trusts Gwen with coordination but also avoids assigning her unnecessary risk when alternatives exist. (Chapter 155)
- Bautista: Gwen and Bautista cover the rear approach during a hunter operation. (Chapter 205)
Items
Gwen has no planned inventory-item links. Her Club Vanquisher ring is an access token rather than a separately planned notable item. (Chapter 111)
