Clint
Clint Smashgrab is a Chee child transformed by Scolopendra's attack and carried as one of Signet's living tattoos before being released into the crawler coalition's care.
Biography
The Hunting Grounds and the Masquerade
Clint's people are peaceful Chee carpenters displaced by high elves, and Scolopendra's ninth-tier attack transforms his kindergarten class into were-castors. He later exists as a level-50 Were-Kin Light Recon Specialist among Signet's tattoo beings, with a metal prosthesis replacing a foot or leg. When Signet's tattoos emerge during the Masquerade crisis, Clint responds as the frightened child he is, clinging to Miss Nadine rather than behaving like a veteran despite the system's combat label. (Chapters 157–217)
Faction Wars at Larracos
By the ninth floor, Clint lives among the coalition's orphaned children and drags training spears with Randy and Todd. The scene shows a transition from stored tattoo combatant to dependent survivor: he participates in preparation, but the adults treat his class history as something done to him rather than a duty to keep fighting. (Chapter 320)
Appearance and personality
Clint is a small, hairy, dwarf-like Chee child. One lower limb is missing and replaced by a curved metal bar or prosthetic, and his system form is marked Were-Kin. He is capable of training and reconnaissance but remains emotionally young, crying and seeking protection when released into chaos. (Chapters 157, 217, and 320)
Skills, class, and abilities
Clint is explicitly level 50 and a Light Recon Specialist in his Were-Kin state. His class implies scouting, and his small transformed body can train with weapons, but the corpus does not give named reconnaissance skills, ranges, or combat feats. His transformation originates in Scolopendra's attack and does not erase his childhood or disability; later care emphasizes survival over exploiting the class. (Chapters 157–217 and 320)
