Black Streak Battle Blade

The Black Streak Battle Blade is a damaged Grade Eight Origin Tool whose Cloud Ink inscription contains the Blood Slaughter battle skill. Its high attack power is paid for by draining the wielder’s physical energy, making the vigorous Iron Cliff a better user than its first recipient, Su Chen.

History

Immortal Temple issue

The Immortal Temple gives the blade to Su Chen among several defective tools. Although it is the highest-grade weapon in the package, prior battle damage causes it to absorb its user’s stamina whenever activated. Su Chen carries it and uses it selectively, avoiding unnecessary cuts when he wants to preserve valuable beast hides. (Chapters 33 and 48)

Transfer to Iron Cliff

Su Chen later gives the blade to Iron Cliff, whose vigorous life energy lets him support its cost and draw out more of its power. Iron Cliff uses Blood Slaughter to break a defensive wall and continues to carry the weapon while serving as Su Chen’s heavily armored front line. (Chapters 79 and 184)

Sale at Flying Moon Workshop

Once Su Chen’s group has enough wealth to choose equipment by compatibility rather than necessity, Iron Cliff replaces the blade with an Armor-Piercing Mountain-Cleaving Hammer. Flying Moon Workshop buys the damaged Black Streak Battle Blade as refuse. This sale ends Iron Cliff’s custody; the weapon’s later use or fate is not recorded. (Chapter 468)

Abilities and properties

  • Blood Slaughter: A Cloud Ink pattern written in beast blood records this powerful Origin Battle Skill. Activation produces strong blood-colored blade force capable of breaking substantial defenses. (Chapters 33 and 79)
  • Grade Eight output: The blade is classified as a Grade Eight Origin Tool and is stronger in raw attack than the Grade Nine Moon-Swallowing Heavenly Wolf Blade. (Chapters 33 and 55)
  • Physical-energy drain: Damage to the tool makes each activation absorb the wielder’s physical energy. The cost makes it unsuitable for long battles and dangerous for users without exceptional vitality. (Chapters 33 and 55)
  • Wielder compatibility: Iron Cliff’s Cliff Race vigor offsets the drain better than Su Chen’s early physique, but no evidence states that the defect was repaired or eliminated. (Chapter 79)
