Wei Pei

Wei Pei is a Wei Clan elder who joins Shen Yuanhong's attack on Su Chen and survives the resulting rout by sacrificing his cultivation foundation. His clan's later surrender turns him into Su Chen's research subject, and the treatment that restores his Light Shaking cultivation also teaches Su Chen how Lotus Platforms are formed. Biography

Defeat, regression, and restoration

Wei Pei enters the Jade Heart Island conflict as a Light Shaking Realm backer of Clear River City's Bloodline Nobility Clans. He chases Su Chen's shuttle while Shen Yuanhong fights the others, only to return just as Shen is killed. Surrounded, Wei attempts to surrender and then flees with repeated long-range Divine Wind Rushes. The escape cracks his Lotus Platform; continued harassment from the faster shuttle damages it further, and he finally consumes Flower Birth Powder to turn the platform's potential into a burst of speed. The maneuver saves his life but, because it forces rather than completes a breakthrough, leaves his foundation so badly injured that he falls below Light Shaking. (Chapters 477–491)

After the Wei Clan capitulates, Su Chen offers treatment and uses Wei as a living subject for research into the Light Shaking Realm. Over roughly a year, Su Chen produces the required medicine, repairs Wei's cultivation, and observes the process closely enough to understand Lotus Platform formation. Once restored, Wei immediately announces closed-door cultivation; Su Chen recognizes this as an excuse to avoid further experiments. Later accounts note that the Wei Clan's surrender limited how ruthlessly Su Chen could study him, but Wei's case still becomes an important step toward bloodline-less Light Shaking research. Appearance and personality

The corpus supplies no fixed physical description for Wei Pei. He initially speaks with the confidence of a clan elder and established Light Shaking cultivator, but Shen Yuanhong's sudden death shocks him into hesitation. Wei Pei possesses a Blue-Blooded Divine Wind Ape bloodline and begins with one Lotus Platform in the Light Shaking Realm. The manifested ape grants exceptional mobility and a large blue energy hand. His Divine Wind Rush normally covers roughly three hundred feet, but under mortal pressure he stretches a rush to about a thousand feet and repeats it three times. That burst lets him escape water confinement, yet rapid extended use visibly cracks his Lotus Platform, establishing a severe foundation cost. (Chapters 477–482)

The Flower Birth Powder was prepared to stimulate his existing platform toward a second. Used as an escape medicine without completing the advancement, it converts potential into speed while compounding previous damage; the platform nearly becomes unrecoverable and his realm regresses. Su Chen's later medicine restores him to Light Shaking, but the corpus does not say that he forms a second platform or demonstrates any subsequent improvement.
