Pan Hao
Pan Hao is a Hidden Dragon Institute student from the Pinewood City Pan Clan who tries to avenge his clan’s grievance against Su Chen.
Biography
Failed intimidation
Pan Hao confronts Su Chen outside his room and threatens to make his Institute life miserable, boasting of his seniority and ranking. Ji Hanyan immediately challenges that confidence and fights him to a standstill before an instructor expels and fines him. Pan Hao later brings six other third-year students to ambush Su Chen outside the Institute, but Su Chen lures them through humiliating traps and secretly records the result. (Chapters 155–167)
Su Chen uses the recording to demand payment from all seven attackers separately. Pan Hao can neither safely attack him inside the Institute nor risk publication, so the group is forced into an extended extortion arrangement and remains silent afterward about Su Chen’s absence from the year-end competition. (Chapters 168–188)
Appearance and personality
Pan Hao is introduced as a black-clothed youth. He is proud of his Institute ranking, vindictive on behalf of his clan, and quick to threaten weaker students, but he can recognize institutional danger and restrain an ally from attacking Su Chen in a monitored location. (Chapters 155, 168)
Abilities and cultivation
Pan Hao can move at high speed, strike repeatedly with his palms, and use a sword. He resists Ji Hanyan’s Frostbird White Ice Fists and meets her Profound Soul-Splitting Finger with sword light, leaving their brief exchange without a clear victor. (Chapter 155)
Relationships
He acts for the Pan Clan against Su Chen and recruits six fellow students for the ambush. Ji Hanyan publicly undercuts his boast and demonstrates that his seniority does not give him an easy advantage over the new students. (Chapters 155–168)
Items
Pan Hao carries a sword in his first fight. He also destroys one of Su Chen’s Imaging Disks, unaware that duplicate recordings preserve the leverage against him. (Chapters 155, 168)
