Lonzell
Lonzell is one of Danba's fiercest Ravager generals and his most trusted direct enforcer. Exceptionally large even for a Ravager, he combines uncomplicated loyalty, eagerness for battle, and enough command authority to lead troops through the imperial civil conflict and the later allied war against the Astrals.
Biography
Danba's enforcer
Lonzell appears during the campaign against the stranded Heavenly Might Battalion as Danba's vicious and loyal subordinate, ready to pursue any target his commander names. He has little interest in moral or political complexity, but his simple obedience makes him useful. When Danba needs imperial documents and a rapid troop movement during the struggle for control of the Gravel Lizard Tribe, Lonzell accepts an independent mission without asking for details. He later charges into the decisive confrontation in which the tribe's head chieftain dies, clearing the way for Danba's mobilization. (Chapters 631 and 685)
War against Gloom City
Many years later, Lonzell has lost an eye in the civil war against the Inferno Tribe but remains one of Danba's leading generals. He drives Ravager troops through the arctic approach to Gloom City, celebrates the chance to exterminate the Astrals, and oversees the Ravagers' Dragonfire Cannons. Ordered to meet a bronze warrior in direct combat, he charges without hesitation and retreats when Danba recognizes the construct's instability. The warrior explodes anyway, killing nearby troops and leaving Lonzell in a bloody heap. The chapter explicitly leaves it unclear whether he is alive or dead, and no later supplied passage resolves the question. (Chapters 1028 and 1031–1032)
Appearance and personality
Lonzell is exceptionally tall and large even among the heavily built Ravagers, and his body radiates stifling physical power. By the Astral campaign he wears an eyepatch over an eye lost during the civil war, which makes him appear still more ferocious. (Chapters 631 and 1028)
He is loyal, brave, thick-headed, and intensely eager to fight. Political implications that other commanders grasp immediately can confuse him, but he obeys orders quickly and accepts missions regardless of cost. His lack of subtlety is paired with enough discipline to retreat the moment Danba commands it. (Chapters 631, 685, and 1032)
Abilities and cultivation
The corpus emphasizes Lonzell's physique, valor, and command role but does not name his cultivation stage, number of baptisms, personal weapon, or a signature technique. He can directly engage the Astrals' giant bronze warrior for a time, demonstrating high-level battlefield durability, but the construct's self-destruction overwhelms him. (Chapter 1032)
As a general, he can command detachments, enforce Danba's decisions, drive exhausted soldiers forward, and supervise the deployment of Ravager siege weapons. (Chapters 685 and 1028–1031)
Relationships
- Danba: Lonzell's sovereign, commander, and the person whose directions define his actions. Danba trusts him with independent missions and warns him away from the exploding bronze warrior. (Chapters 631, 685, and 1028–1032)
- Su Chen: A former enemy and later allied commander. Lonzell initially doubts Su's achievements against the Astrals but accepts Danba's correction and fights in the shared assault. (Chapters 631 and 1031–1032)
Items
No finalized signature-item entry is assigned to Lonzell in the supplied catalog. He helps deploy Dragonfire Cannons during the Astral siege, but they are army equipment rather than personal possessions.
