Halcyon Wing Streak is a young Halcyon Clan noble and the disciple of the Nightfrost Nest bishop Moonless Face. After three years as a human prisoner of war, he becomes the unwilling model for Su Chen’s Harpy identity. The real Halcyon Wing Streak dies shortly after returning to Sky City; all later acts publicly attributed to his name are performed by Su Chen.

Biography

Captivity with Moonless Face

Halcyon Wing Streak belongs to one of Nightfrost Nest’s three great clans, but his personal rank is only about 342nd and his parents hold ordinary positions. His standing comes chiefly from Moonless Face, one of the nest’s five leading Mother Goddess Sect bishops and a teacher who cares for him as a favored disciple. Captured together during a border raid, they spend at least three years as prisoners of war before the Zhu Clan obtains them for an exchange. Halcyon is intelligent enough to share his teacher’s suspicion about the unprecedented Harpy negotiations and stops discussing the matter when warned that the cell may be monitored. He remains proud and elegant despite captivity, but an Origin Energy seal leaves him physically unable to resist abuse by the wardens. (Chapters 800–801)

Interrogation, return, and replacement

Su Chen selects Halcyon as a usable identity and destroys his resistance through repeated illusion-realm torment. He then interrogates him about family, religion, habits, relationships, and roughly one hundred Arcana Techniques, selectively erasing the day’s memories so the same answers can be cross-checked; Halcyon eventually learns that the process has already occurred twelve times. Su Chen keeps him alive because forgotten details may still be useful and allows him to return with the Harpy delegation, while rumors about the apparent abuse explain the captive’s collapsed personality. Halcyon remains under inspection with the delegation until it reaches Sky City. There Su Chen ambushes and kills him, dissolves the corpse, and takes his appearance before the Halcyon Clan’s greeters arrive. The impersonator subsequently lives with Halcyon’s family and acts throughout Sky Country under his name, but those decisions, relationships, and feats do not belong to the deceased Harpy. Appearance and personality

Halcyon Wing Streak is a young male Harpy whose natural appearance is convincing enough for Su Chen to reproduce as a specific identity. He carries himself with an elegant, lofty demeanor even as a prisoner. The corpus does not otherwise state his height, build, hair, eye color, wing color, clothing, or distinctive facial features. Later descriptions of a white-robed “Halcyon Wing Streak” refer to Su Chen’s disguise and are not evidence of the real character’s appearance. (Chapters 800–801 and 868)

He is cautious, perceptive, proud, and initially defiant. He understands Moonless Face’s warning about surveillance and refuses to explain his clan to an enemy without a reason. Repeated consciousness torment eventually reduces that resistance to automatic obedience, though he still works out that Su Chen intends to replace him and asks whether the interrogations will continue after his memories are erased. His later withdrawn behavior is trauma rather than an established change in values, and the corpus gives him no opportunity to recover before his death. (Chapters 800–802)

Abilities and cultivation

The real Halcyon Wing Streak is a Fifth-Ring Arcana Master with a broad but largely ordinary repertoire. His captivity seal prevents him from demonstrating those techniques in combat, so later abilities used under his name must not be attributed to him.

Fifth-Ring Arcana mastery

Under interrogation, Halcyon states that he knows roughly one hundred Arcana Techniques, although he uses only about ten regularly. He writes their patterns down for Su Chen, establishing genuine study through the Fifth Ring but not providing the narrative with a complete named list. The inherited Light Forcefield is one confirmed technique he had learned before captivity; it increases weight within a surrounding field. Su Chen later modifies that technique while impersonating him, so the strengthened version that burdens Halcyon Wing Mourning is Su Chen’s invention rather than Halcyon’s demonstrated mastery. As a Harpy, Halcyon possesses wings and belongs to a culture whose members fly naturally, but no scene establishes his individual speed or aerial combat style. His greatest demonstrated limitation is external suppression: the prisoner’s seal blocks his Origin Energy and leaves his physical body too weak to resist ordinary beatings. The source also does not name his innate Arcana Techniques, activation costs, specialized counters, or any progression after the Fifth Ring.   • Moonless Face: Halcyon’s teacher and a principal bishop of Nightfrost Nest’s Mother Goddess Sect. Their shared imprisonment shows mutual trust and affection: Moonless Face warns his disciple about surveillance and tries to comfort him after the interrogation trauma, but his own captivity leaves him unable to protect Halcyon.   • Halcyon Wing Mourning and Clear Bell Reflection: Halcyon’s parents care deeply about their only child and expect his return after years in captivity. Their reunion in Sky City is instead with Su Chen, who uses the real Halcyon’s memories and apparent trauma to pass as their son. The real Halcyon never sees them again after his release.
