Feng Yigu

Feng Yigu is a senior Hidden Dragon Institute student whose exceptional defensive Origin Skill makes him a frontline member of the expedition into the Ravager ruins. He survives traps that would stop weaker students but dies trading his life for an enemy warrior's during the temple battle.

Biography

Shield of the ruins expedition

Feng Yigu arrives with Shi Jiangbai as one of the institute's experienced tenth-year students and joins the force exploring the ruins. His defining responsibility is to absorb danger for the group: when the expedition must pass formations of the fifth tier or below, his defense lets him deliberately trigger them and withstand the initial force. This role places him at the front when the students enter the temple and the Ravagers' defensive line turns the expedition into a direct battle. (Chapters 298–321)

Su Chen distributes strengthening medicine to Feng Yigu and the other close-range fighters before the decisive charge. Feng repeatedly reconstructs his Arcane Turtle Shield after a Temple Warrior breaks it, then attacks an already injured Ravager defender. When his shield finally fails and the enemy seizes his neck, Feng blinds him and drives a weapon through his throat even as the Ravager snaps his neck.
