Chu Huailiang

Chu Huailiang is a peak Light Shaking Realm expert of the Chu Clan sent to assassinate Su Chen. Known in his clan as “White and Black,” he combines the White Fang Desolate Beast bloodline, a perfected Sky-Rending Blade, and a black dagger. His attempt to preserve the bloodline clans' supremacy ends when Su overwhelms his defenses and kills him. (Chapters 797–800 and 823)

Biography

Assassination mission

Chu Huailiang confronts Su after the Empty Mountain settlement threatens the influence inherited-bloodline clans exercise over cultivation. He begins the mission as an agent restoring clan control rather than as a personal enemy, but Su's bloodline-free strength makes the ideological stakes immediate: if such a path spreads, the social order that supports the Chu Clan can no longer be treated as inevitable. Chu therefore presses the assassination even after recognizing that his target is much more dangerous than expected. (Chapters 797–799)

The battle tests the reputation behind his seven Lotus Platforms. Chu restricts Su's spatial movement, releases blood-fed gnats, cuts apart techniques with the Sky-Rending Blade, and manifests the White Fang avatar. Su incinerates the gnats, amplifies his dark phoenix until Chu's Flame-Dispelling Pearl and shields fail, and ultimately kills him while extracting blood for research. Later chapters explain the “White and Black” name and place Chu's black dagger in Cloud Leopard's hands, but Chu himself has no posthumous return. (Chapters 797–800, 806, 822, and 823)

Appearance and personality

Chu is a middle-aged man with three long trails of facial hair and an elegant, almost immortal-like bearing. His composed appearance contrasts with the direct killing purpose of his visit. (Chapter 797)

He is confident, disciplined, and deeply invested in the clan hierarchy that his mission protects. He quickly analyzes Su's powers and adjusts his techniques rather than relying on reputation alone. That professionalism coexists with ideological rigidity: once he understands that Su's research can undermine inherited privilege, he treats the possibility as another reason Su must die, not as a reason to reconsider the system. Abilities and cultivation

Chu is a seven-Lotus-Platform Light Shaking cultivator with the White Fang Desolate Beast bloodline. The narrative credits him with challenging Spirit Burning cultivators at three platforms, defeating twelve after reaching six, and later defeating three opponents who each possessed two Divine Palaces. It also reports a three-day fight against a one-Divine-Palace Demonic Emperor. These establish his reputation and exceptional offense, although the supplied scenes do not independently reenact those earlier feats. (Chapters 797–798)

His core Bloodline Skill is the Sky-Rending Blade, a simple and incisive cutting art he has trained since awakening his bloodline. He can launch many cuts rapidly and use them against both material defenses and Origin Skills. Its strength is concentrated severing power rather than elaborate secondary effects; sufficiently powerful opposing energy and Su's sustained pressure can still force Chu onto the defensive. The White Fang avatar appears as a horned, black-spiked beast built for attack rather than protection. Chu can make the manifestation tangible enough to seize and shatter Su's Flaming Phoenix, but doing so consumes vigor and weakens his aura. He also raises fierce gnats on his own blood essence and uses spatial restriction to shorten Su's teleportation range. The gnats are vulnerable to wide-area fire, and the restriction hampers rather than completely prevents movement. (Chapters 798–800)

Chu defends himself with Lotus Platforms, barriers, and a Flame-Dispelling Pearl that diverts fire. Su's amplified dark phoenix cracks and destroys the pearl, then breaks through the remaining protection. The pearl is consumed in Chu's final fight, while the black dagger associated with his nickname passes to Cloud Leopard; neither is established as part of Chu's inventory at his death. Relationships

• Su Chen: Chu's assassination target and ideological threat. Their battle becomes a contest between an elite inherited bloodline and the bloodline-free system Su is developing; Su kills Chu and studies the blood he leaves behind. (Chapters 797–800 and 806)
• Cloud Leopard: Cloud Leopard later receives and uses the high-grade black dagger that had formed the second half of Chu's “White and Black” reputation. The corpus does not show a personal relationship between the two men before Chu's death. (Chapters 822–823)
