Wise Star Order

The Wise Star Order, later revealed to be Nilrem, is a Soul Manipulation Savant, custodian of the Creation Tablets, and the hidden architect of several trials that shape Leonel Morales. He first presents himself as a fallen Luxnix ancestor, but later revelations identify that life as one of many iterations of the ancient man whose original sacrifice became the Northern Star. (Chapters 1207, 2263, 3030, and 3284–3285)

Biography

Void Palace and the Rapax conflict

Before he meets Leonel, the Wise Star Order's prophecy persuades the Luxnix to spend three generations preparing for a flowering of talent. The warning produces an era of external peace, but the family turns its blades inward and mistakes his deliberately fabricated history of repeated Star Orders for proof that the titles are expendable. Those consequences frame him as a respected benefactor before the person himself enters the story. (Chapters 1140–1142)

His actual appearance begins when his surviving consciousness speaks from the Luxnix Bronze Tablet and offers Leonel the Northern Star Lineage's deeper history. Leonel quickly identifies him as the prior Wise Star Order, and the ancestor explains the regressions from Snowy Star Owl through White Stone Elephant and Starry Tailed Fox bloodlines. Leonel's questions expose the stranger purpose behind his centuries of waiting: the ancestor is a Soul Manipulation Savant who chose Leonel as a vessel and arranged the removal of his Scarlet Star Innate Node so possession would be safe. The attempted takeover fails because Leonel has impossibly regenerated the Innate Node, whose Destruction power tears at the invading soul. Even while suffering, the Wise Star Order teaches Leonel about True State Force and its danger, then layers bargains, Soul Bound, and a secretly divided soul into repeated escape attempts. Alienor finally uses Velasco's prepared necklace to expose both halves and bind them separately. Leonel nevertheless asks her to preserve the ancestor: the man is dangerous, but Leonel decides that surviving his schemes will make him resistant to lesser manipulators. (Chapters 1214–1225)

Their forced partnership becomes a combative apprenticeship. The Wise Star Order directs Leonel to a trap-filled treasure vault, explains Life Grade Crafts and cultivation concepts, and helps him stage the ancestor's authority against the Luxnix elders. Both treat danger as a contest of wits; the elder continues testing Leonel while Leonel learns to predict the personality behind the traps. (Chapters 1223–1230 and 1458)

Heir Wars and the wider Dimensional Verse

When Leonel returns from the Zone to the transformed Segmented Cube, the Wise Star Order immediately tries to exploit the failure of Alienor's necklace. He discovers that Anastasia had saved his endangered soul during the separation and tethered it to her world, putting his life under her authority. Unable to prey on Leonel, he spends the lost decades training Candle and Vice, helping them recover from imprisonment and directing their loyalty toward rebuilding the Luxnix. (Chapters 1631–1634)

His place in Leonel's campaigns is chiefly intellectual. He and Anastasia explain Force principles, test Leonel's deductions, train residents of the Cube, and serve as a store of knowledge about the wider Domains, immortality, cultivation, and World Spirits. Leonel often cites what he learned from the elder rather than receiving battlefield intervention; the relationship has evolved from active predation into an abrasive master-disciple arrangement without erasing the reason Leonel remains wary. God Realm and Dream Pavilion struggles

A historical revelation reframes his apparently local Luxnix life. As a Wise Star Order, he is a custodian of the Creation Tablets—instruments the God Beasts of Creation used to document and simulate bloodline experiments without killing their subjects. He calls himself a glorified librarian, but a Silver Tablet in an Incomplete World can bend reality and influence Zones. Recognizing that Leonel's future self has left the young man aimless, he uses that authority to shape trials that teach purpose and the value of life. (Chapter 2263)

For this work he adopts Nilrem, a name linked to Merlin in reverse, and implants the Silver Tablet into the Valiant Heart experience. The manipulated Zone gives Leonel a reason to become a king, then forces him to confront the moral weight of lives that a Tablet can restore. The Tablet later gives Leonel a second chance to face betrayal and resurrection with that lesson in mind, though he does not learn who arranged the inheritance until much later. (Chapters 2263, 2757, 2831, and 2859)

This phase also exposes the limits of his mentorship. Nilrem can alter experiments and position tools, but he lets Leonel make choices without revealing the hand behind them. The hidden guidance grants Leonel advantages while preserving the uncertainty needed for those lessons to matter; it also repeats the elder's willingness to manipulate a descendant's life for an outcome he considers necessary. The final war and a transformed Existence

Nilrem returns openly after Leonel's defeat and the loss of much of his former foundation. He pulls Leonel out of grief with a blunt challenge, reveals his name, and helps him build a path founded on his own Weapon Forces rather than inherited shortcuts. Their plan has only an estimated twenty-percent chance of success and subjects Leonel to decades of time-dilated torment, but Nilrem trusts his disciple's judgment and guides him toward techniques Leonel himself created in earlier iterations rather than imposing a foreign system. Once Leonel returns to the Fawkes, master and disciple operate with the same irreverent disregard for decorum. Nilrem takes public responsibility for deaths connected to Leonel, shields him from a Fawkes expert, joins a theft as soon as Leonel calls it a master-disciple outing, and improves Emna through direct training. He warns, however, that his centuries of enemies make overt deployment dangerous; his strength is a trump card only when witnesses cannot report it. (Chapters 3050–3051, 3067–3070, and 3101–3102)

During Leonel's final battle with the Demoness, Nilrem steps out after Leonel's apparent destruction and calls Leonel their grandson. He tells Ophelia that she will lose, knowingly provoking her; she erases his flesh, bone, and soul with one strike. Beyond the Northern Star, a last remnant reaches Leonel and explains why: Nilrem and Ophelia were among the first humans to wield Force, and his original self erased himself from history, time, and space to become the Northern Star—the barrier between life and true Nothingness. The Demoness repeatedly forced versions of that husband back into existence, and Nilrem's Luxnix life, his affairs, and Leonel's paternal grandfather were different attempts to recreate the man she lost. Nilrem admits that none could satisfy her and that even Leonel's grandfather, the closest iteration, died because his talent did not match the original. This confession changes Leonel's final understanding of his master: beneath the lechery and jokes is a man exhausted by iterations of failing to recover his family. Leonel calls him "gramps," accepts his request to bring Ophelia back from her self-defeat, and carries his hope into the last confrontation. (Chapters 3284–3285)

Appearance and personality

As a soul, the Wise Star Order usually manifests as an extraordinarily handsome young man whose beauty surprises even Leonel. He can instead project the appearance and ancient pressure of a decrepit elder when confronting the Luxnix, and his later corporeal presentation retains the handsome face Leonel remembers. These forms are expressions of a highly shaped soul rather than reliable evidence of physical age. (Chapters 1213, 1223, and 3102)

Nilrem is brilliant, manipulative, shameless, and almost impossible to embarrass. He nests schemes inside failed schemes, treats lethal traps as entertainment, boasts about women, and answers Leonel's disrespect with the same vulgar humor. That style conceals patience measured in centuries and a willingness to build experiences whose lessons will mature long after he leaves them. (Chapters 1210–1225, 1229, 2263, and 3030)

His affection is real but rarely gentle. He protects Leonel by forcing him to confront danger, trusts him to choose a near-fatal training path, and trains Leonel's people while pretending to be motivated by amusement or desire. Only in his final moments does he articulate the loneliness beneath his repeated lives and acknowledge his hope for the family he could never restore himself. Abilities and cultivation

The Wise Star Order is a Savant whose Soul Manipulation Ability Index, Dream Force talent, and Creation Tablet authority make ordinary dimensional comparisons incomplete. The corpus presents a powerful established endpoint rather than a dated chain of formal stages; his most important changes are changes of vessel, restraint, identity, and circumstance. Soul Manipulation and survival

His Tier 5 Ability Index is identified as Soul Manipulation: Immortality. It lets his soul retain form without a body, adapt to hostile conditions or a prospective vessel, divide into independently acting portions, heal one portion through another, and preserve a consciousness for extraordinary spans of time. It also brings enhanced intelligence, sensory acuity, and soul durability. He uses those mechanics to hide in the Luxnix Tablet, invade Leonel, survive Soul Bound by splitting himself, and build resistance while one half suffers. (Chapters 1211–1217 and 1224–1225)

"Immortality" is not invulnerability. His soul is far tougher than an ordinary soul but still fragile compared with a similarly powerful body, and Leonel's regenerated Scarlet Star Innate Node nearly destroys him because its True State Destruction directly counters spiritual survival. Velasco's necklace can expose and torture both divided halves, Anastasia can tether him to her world, and the Demoness eventually annihilates his body and soul outright. A final consciousness persists beyond the Northern Star only briefly and describes itself as dying. (Chapters 1214–1216, 1224–1225, 1633, and 3281–3285)

Wise Star cognition and Dream Force

The title reflects a drive to seek out the "stars": the universe's mysteries, Ability Indexes, Lineage Factors, and phenomena beyond ordinary comprehension. Nilrem has an expert's memory, enormous parallel cognition, sensitive perception, and the knowledge to diagnose unfamiliar Forces, bodies, and Crafts rapidly. The dimensional gap initially lets him read Leonel's mind as easily as a book; Leonel tries to hide among millions of simultaneous thoughts, but Nilrem still outplays him. (Chapters 1211–1216, 2946, and 3037)

His Dream Force supports long-range planning, technique analysis, suggestion, and the construction of experiences that shape later decisions. He remembers prior iterations even when Leonel sends his mind through time and recognizes the danger that a superior Dream Force user can contaminate his thinking, prompting him to leave Anastasia's world for a cleansing. The Demoness remains beyond his ability to read or reform directly, establishing the ceiling of even his extraordinary cognition. (Chapters 2263, 3117, and 3284–3285)

Creation Tablets and Zone engineering

As a Wise Star Order, Nilrem has a duty to the Creation Tablets and can draw out their deeper functions. These Tablets store libraries, document Ability Indexes and Lineage Factors, simulate biological experiments, influence the Second Dimension, and, in Incomplete Worlds, alter Zones and apparent history. He uses a Silver Creation Tablet to shape multiple Zones and place the Valiant Heart and Merlin trials in Leonel's path. (Chapters 2263, 2859, and 2946)

These effects are at least partly item-derived rather than innate. The Tablet supplies the reality-bending medium and stored knowledge; Nilrem supplies the Wise Star authority, design, and Dream Force needed to use it at full depth. Without a Wise Star Order, comparable Tablets retain resurrection and lesser functions but become far less capable. (Chapters 2263, 2683, and 2767)

Combat, instruction, and iteration knowledge

Nilrem's surviving soul can exert a Seventh Dimensional pressure in his first encounter, move too quickly for the young Leonel to follow, and later block a Fawkes expert's attack with his aura. Yet the narrative uses him sparingly in direct battle: his enemies in the God Realm are numerous, revealing himself can bring more danger than aid, and opponents on the Demoness's level can erase him immediately. (Chapters 1213–1215, 3067, 3070, and 3281)

As a teacher, he identifies principles rather than providing a safe curriculum. He explains bloodline regression, True State Force, Life Grade Crafting, Heavenly Body concepts, and the need for Leonel to own his path; in the final phase he points Leonel back toward techniques and lessons created across previous iterations. His methods accelerate insight but often make suffering part of the test, and Leonel succeeds because he evaluates and adapts the guidance rather than obeying blindly. The original man behind Nilrem sacrificed his place in history, time, and space to become the Northern Star, the boundary against true Nothingness. Nilrem is a later iteration of that man, not an unrestricted controller of the Star: he carries the memory and burden of the sacrifice, but still dies and can only meet Leonel as a fading consciousness beyond it. • Leonel Morales: Nilrem begins by grooming Leonel as a vessel, becomes a bound adversary and intellectual grindstone, and eventually accepts the role of master. His hidden Zones, final training, and death all aim to produce a Leonel capable of choosing his own path and defeating the Demoness. (Chapters 1210–1225, 2263, 3029–3042, and 3281–3285)
• Anastasia: Anastasia saves and tethers his soul after the Segmented Cube's separation, reversing the power dynamic that once let him prey on Leonel. He resents her authority and trades insults with her, but they jointly train the Cube's residents and advise Leonel. (Chapters 1631–1634 and 2192)
• Alienor: Alienor distrusts him from the beginning, uses Velasco's necklace to uncover his divided-soul escape, and forces both halves into restraints. Her intervention keeps him from taking her son's body while preserving the useful but dangerous mentor Leonel chooses to keep. (Chapters 1224–1225)
• Demoness / Ophelia: She is the ancient wife of his original self and the force behind repeated attempts to reincarnate that husband. • Candle and Vice: During Leonel's absence, Nilrem becomes their master, strengthens them, and gives the former prisoners a purpose centered on rebuilding the Luxnix. Their increased confidence is one of the clearest constructive consequences of his otherwise manipulative teaching. (Chapter 1634)
• Emna: Nilrem trains Emna late in the war and markedly improves her abilities. Leonel values the result but distrusts his lecherous master's intentions toward the woman he has chosen as a general. (Chapter 3102)
