Minerva

Minerva is an Owlan-turned-Minerva leader, Dream Sovereign, and master Crafter whose determination to restore her ancestors' name draws her into conflict with Leonel Morales. Initially a proud Pavilion Head seeking the Segmented Cube, she becomes a hardened combatant, helps revive the Minerva Race, and ultimately dies challenging Aina Morales.

Biography

God Realm and Dream Pavilion struggles

Minerva first appears as the head of the Crafted Dream Pavilion, the most dangerous of the Pavilions confronting Leonel in the True Dream Plane. Although the Owlans had spent generations distancing themselves from the fallen Minerva Race, she embraced that ancestry and regarded its surviving work as indispensable. She therefore offered Leonel peace only if he surrendered the treasure she sensed on him—Anastasia and the Segmented Cube—and sent Seraphina and Octavia against him when he refused. Minerva's natural control of Force initially overwhelmed him, but her confidence kept her from recognizing how he was influencing her mind and building a layered attack. The resulting defeat was the first of her life. It also forced her to confront the difference between inherited superiority and tested judgment: after recognizing that her arrogance had made her careless, she resolved to understand enemies before treating them with disdain. That reassessment was inseparable from pressure inside her own society. Elrik, backed by the family elders, claimed her as a future wife, reduced her ambitions to bearing his children, and mocked her devotion to the Minerva legacy. Minerva rejected his authority but lacked the political freedom to strike him while his faction stood behind him. Seeking a route out, she drove her Pavilion back toward the top one hundred, accepted leadership of the revived Gathering of Minds, and trained her sole disciple Celestia to represent Owlan Crafting. She used the gathering to maneuver for the Segmented Cube, yet Leonel exposed the event's tilted rules, escaped with both that treasure and the Life Tablet, and left Minerva to discover that larger powers had treated her as a convenient pawn. She expelled the Void Pavilion Head from her domain, confronted her own Ancestors rather than accept blame as their scapegoat, and threatened to dissolve the Pavilion when they insulted her dead parents. The war that followed transformed the pride she had previously performed into endurance she had earned. Because few Owlans retained usable Dream Force, defending the Pavilion's strategic territory fell heavily on her, and repeated life-or-death battles pushed her comprehension forward. After months fighting the Void Race genius Elo'Ray, Minerva prevailed despite losing an arm, a leg, and much of her wings. The victory carried her Dream Force into the Creation State. She then deliberately scarred her restored face, rejecting the beauty by which others had tried to define and possess her, and claimed a new identity as the Warrior Empress: not an Owlan hiding from history, but a Minerva determined to restore her Race. The final war and a transformed Existence

When Elysium finally revealed the hidden Minerva faction, Minerva learned that her parents were alive and that her isolation had partly concealed preparations for the Race's return. Their strategy did not absolve the elders who had enabled Elrik's abuse. With Elysium's permission, she killed Ancestor Solarius and dealt with his family line, removing the political barrier that had constrained her and advancing her Dream Force to the Middle Creation State. The restored faction combined the ancestral Crafting path with generations of combat development; Minerva stood among its greatest talents and soon completed the transition to a God-grade existence. She nevertheless went after Leonel before fully adapting to that constitution. During their rematch she revealed the affinities she had neglected in favor of Dream Force and pressed him with Holy Force, swordsmanship, her Touch of Creation Lineage Factor, and her unnamed Ability Index. Leonel defeated her again, and Elysium had to take her away before he could finish her. (Chapters 2892–2893 and 2902–2917)

The second loss tempered rather than broke her. Minerva acknowledged to her mother that she no longer hated Leonel and might love him because he was the only man who had defeated her across every field she valued. She also refused to abandon either her ambition or their enmity, concluding that she still had to kill him and that a life with him was impossible. Later, when suitors pursued her after a manipulated beauty ranking, she publicly named Leonel as the only man she loved and told them to kill him before approaching her, a declaration that diverted their attention while preserving her chosen distance. She entered the Idol Battlefield against her Race's wishes and reached the sword monument, but later confronted Aina alongside Anya. Minerva could react to Aina's apparently predictable strokes but could not perceive their true effects; Aina bisected her with a final ax strike, ending both Minerva's rivalry with Leonel and her part in the restored Race's campaign. Appearance and personality

Minerva is an Owlan woman of exceptional beauty with a slender figure, pink eyes, flowing pink-diamond hair, and large wings that she initially keeps neatly tucked. At their first meeting, she wears a silver-and-gold dress and presents a pleasing smile and voice even while speaking condescendingly. Her wings can glitter with golden runes, later carry pink outlines associated with the Minerva heritage, and after her return as a God appear as cutting, pink-diamond forms. She favors elegant dresses and graceful posture, but prolonged war leaves her bloodied and mutilated. After defeating Elo'Ray she rakes open her newly healed face to reject her beauty as an identity; those scars fade when her later breakthrough restores her features. Her defining trait is pride, first expressed as effortless condescension and later refined into disciplined self-possession. She believes herself an Empress and fiercely protects the dignity of the Race whose name she bears. Early arrogance makes her underestimate Leonel and treat subordinates harshly, though she also restores Seraphina's and Octavia's damaged wings and invests personally in Celestia's growth. Repeated defeats make her more analytical without softening her ambition. She can endure extraordinary pain, acknowledge an enemy's superiority, and revise her view of him, yet she remains willing to kill rivals and abusive elders alike when they obstruct the future she has chosen. Abilities and cultivation

Minerva combines Ninth-Dimensional cultivation with Dream Sovereignty, the Minerva constitution and Lineage Factor, high-level Crafting, and combat affinities she had long neglected. Her broadest strengths are control and amplification: she can dominate a Dream-rich battlefield, harmonize Forces and treasures into Natural Force Arts, and use the Crafted Dream Pavilion to contest enemies beyond what her ordinary position would allow. Her clearest weaknesses are the narrow development caused by her early obsession with Dream Force, her inexperience after attaining Godhood, and the time or concentration needed to re-form disrupted constructions. Dream Force, sovereignty, and the Dream Pavilion

Dream Force was Minerva's principal cultivation focus even though she later admits that her affinity for it is weaker than her Holy Force affinity. In the True Dream Plane she wrests ambient Dream Force away from Leonel with small movements, using it to stop his charge and suppress his other Forces. Her wings can unfold a world that gives her control over many kinds of Force; an unidentified treasure lets her bring that otherwise external racial gift into the True Dream Plane. The same control is not absolute. Leonel gradually strips the environment from her, exploits her pride to conceal a mental influence, and defeats her. In their later battle her Dream Domain is ineffective when he attacks without Bow Force, leaving no matching Force for it to suppress. (Chapters 2551–2552 and 2910)

As Pavilion Head, Minerva can have the Dream Pavilion project battlefield information directly into her mind and can wield power within its borders comparable to her Ancestors. This advantage is territorial: the text establishes that the Pavilion makes her exceptional inside its domain, not that the same amplification follows her everywhere. Continuous defense of that territory pushes her Dream Force from the Higher Life State into the Creation State after she defeats Elo'Ray, and killing Solarius helps it reach the Middle Creation State and affirm her Sovereignty. By her rematch with Leonel, her crown manifests a Sovereign Middle Creation State Domain capable of multiplying her feather blades into tens of thousands and filling the battlefield with a pink mist that disrupts orientation. The narrative identifies this display as the first time she uses her Ability Index but never names that Index or fully explains its mechanics; Leonel's command-backed ability tears the mist apart and collapses the multiplication. Crafting and the Order Standards

Minerva is identified as the finest Crafter among the Owlans of her era, a distinction credited both to her Dream Force and to a lifetime embracing the ancestral profession that most of her Race avoided. She teaches Celestia, her only disciple, and promises to guide her from the Sixth to the Seventh Order Standard. Those standards average a Crafter's control over a Spirit, knowledge, stamina and Dream or Soul Force, and ingenuity and adaptability; Minerva's own exact Order is never stated. She also prepares a humanoid Minerva Spirit for Celestia and understands enough of Leonel's Crafting to recognize that he concealed part of his ability during the Gathering of Minds. Her role in the Gathering shows both expertise and limitation. She presides over theoretical debates, Crafting trials, and the Pillars of Truth, but uses that authority to shape rules around seizing Leonel's treasures. His superior preparation overturns the scheme and exposes how readily her fixation on ancestral artifacts can narrow her judgment. The feats of the ancient Minerva Crafters—especially the construction of the Segmented Cube and their alteration of Anastasia's world—establish the tradition she seeks to recover, but the corpus does not credit those creations to Minerva personally. Touch of Creation and God constitution

Minerva's Lineage Factor, Touch of Creation, identifies the root Force Art within an Ability Index, Force, or treasure and brings it to life through Auspicious Air. The affected power harmonizes with nature and forms a magic circle that multiplies its performance. Applied to the Ambrosia Feather, Touch of Creation arranges its components into a Natural Force Art that increases the treasure's power tenfold, letting its defensive aura destroy a rain of arrows before they reach her. This enhancement depends on a maintained formation: once Leonel destabilizes it, the feathers scatter, and Minerva estimates that rebuilding it will take three seconds—an exploitable interval in combat at their speed. Her Owlan wings provide flight, can strike or defend directly, and naturally form the force-controlling world she uses in the True Dream Plane. After the Minerva faction returns, she develops from a Demi-God foundation into a God constitution. Her parents explicitly warn that becoming a God does not immediately grant the foundation or adjustment of an established Ninth-Dimensional God, and even after her constitution is complete she remains too weak to participate in the highest battle around the Pillars of Truth. Her God grade therefore marks a structural ascent, not parity with every older God. (Chapters 2551, 2902, and 3017)

Holy Force, swordsmanship, and combat growth

Minerva possesses a Holy Force Innate Node, but suppresses its development for much of her life to pursue Dream Force. By her duel with Leonel, her Holy Force is only in the Higher Life State and her Sword Force in the Middle Life State. Holy Force can purify and dispel other Forces, allowing it to function like exceptional penetration, while her sword strokes cut space even before direct contact. The Ambrosia Feather supplies her with a near-God-grade weapon: it can heal someone from near death after charging, transform into an elegant sword, or divide into 972 feather blades. These effects belong to the treasure and her amplification of it, not to her unaided body. (Chapters 2909–2912)

Minerva begins with almost no experience of a genuine all-out battle because her peers had rarely threatened her. Defending the Dream Pavilion and fighting Elo'Ray for months changes that. She learns to persist through dismemberment, to use blood and injury as fuel rather than shock, and to combine flight, formations, Dream interference, Holy Force, and sword technique under pressure. That experience makes her a far more dangerous combatant, but it cannot close every gap: Leonel disrupts her formation and nearly kills her, while Aina's concealed ax effects bypass Minerva's otherwise timely reactions and kill her before she understands the attack. • Leonel Morales: Minerva first treats Leonel as an inferior obstacle to reclaiming an ancestral treasure. His repeated victories expose her complacency and become a model for the self-awareness she lacks; after their later duel, she admits that respect has become love, but refuses to surrender either her ambitions or their lethal rivalry. • Aina Morales: Aina's brilliance makes Minerva more determined to locate the Human Bubble and seize the Segmented Cube. Their hostility becomes personal through Minerva's feelings for Leonel, and Aina ultimately kills her at the Idol Battlefield. (Chapters 2602–2603, 2920, and 3239–3240)
• Elysium: Elysium protects the hidden preparations for the Minerva Race's return, allows Minerva to remove Solarius' faction, and values her as his Race's most talented rising member.
