Amery

Amery is the Suiard family's foremost swordsman and Leonel Morales's defining weapon-path rival. Raised from childhood to embody the sword, he first treats Leonel as an unworthy bearer of the Spear Domain Ring. Defeat, captivity, the destruction of his family, and years of self-imposed training strip away that protected certainty. He ultimately chooses a sword that “stands above all things,” joins Leonel's coming war without surrendering their rivalry, and reaches the sword monument of the Idol Battlefield before Minerva.

Biography

The unknown Sword Deity and the Dimensional Cleanse trial

Amery first appears as an unnamed young swordsman crossing the Dimensional Cleanse trial with effortless speed, his blade responding to a familiar presence ahead. He openly calls himself the Sword Deity, a title he chose rather than one awarded by the public, and is explicitly identified as Amery before the chapter ends. His obscurity is itself evidence of his background: the Suiard family has kept him within its training structure until reaching the Sixth Dimension, so the wider Verse has not yet learned the name of a prodigy already confident that his sword belongs at the summit. He meets Leonel after both have advanced beyond most trial participants. Amery studies Leonel's Spear Domain Ring and decides that Leonel does not love or understand the spear enough to deserve it. He offers to spare Leonel if he hands the ring over, intending to give it to someone he considers a better future opponent. When Leonel refuses, Amery attacks with an ordinary wooden sword and overwhelms him despite the trial's suppression, mangling his hand and leaving wounds that would have killed him without Anastasia's intervention. (Chapters 888 and 891–895)

The encounter is important beyond the victory. Amery's criticism exposes Leonel's instrumental relationship with weapons: Leonel has chosen the spear because it is convenient, whereas Amery lives through repetition, muscle memory, and communion with the sword. Leonel later studies the difference and recognizes that Amery's constant practice has built connections no simulated exercise can replace. Amery therefore becomes both rival and unwitting teacher, the standard Leonel must answer before he can call himself a true spearman. (Chapters 892, 899, and 930)

Rapax Nest, reversal, and Void Palace

Amery reaches the heart of the Rapax Nest before the other Void Palace candidates and fights dozens of weakened Rapax alone, including threats beyond what ordinary Sixth-Dimensional youths can manage. He has reached the Sixth Dimension by the God Path without relying on the Void Palace, and the other geniuses recognize him as the second Amethyst Token holder. He pays little attention to the watching candidates because his objective is the future Rapax ruler's egg. (Chapters 1371–1375)

When Amery takes the egg, Leonel intervenes to settle their earlier debt. Amery's wooden blade and personal Sword Force remain superior in speed, strength, and technique; once he reveals a crystalline sword, his Level 3 Sword Force cuts through Leonel's Quasi-Gold spear. Leonel changes weapons and uses the White Lion Bow's suppressive advantage to batter Amery from range, destroy his armor, mangle the same hand Amery once ruined, and take the egg. Amery retreats through the Sword Domain Ring rather than throw away his life after losing. (Chapters 1387–1390)

The loss does not break his discipline. Amery appears at the Void Tower with his injured hand wrapped, acknowledges Leonel with more attention than before, and completes the tenth floor before stopping voluntarily because he understands the trial's structure. His first-attempt record and the fact that no faction tries to recruit him confirm that his alignment with the Suiard sword powers is already assumed. He has lost a prize and a duel, but not the training identity on which his confidence rests. (Chapters 1400–1407)

Heir Wars and the battle that ends his isolation

At the opening of the Heir Wars, the Suiard Ancestor protects Amery amid the Morales family's threatened war. Amery nevertheless sends a Sword Force strike at Leonel, only for James Bennett to crush it and Emna to force him backward. The humiliation previews a changed contest: Leonel no longer stands alone, while Amery remains a prodigy shaped inside a family structure that has never required him to build a comparable following. (Chapters 1926–1930)

Amery's own Heir Wars strategy is deliberately sparse. Although the Suiards lead numerous sword families and he could gather a vast coalition, he waits for the last worthy challenger. His brothers submitted to him before he entered the Sixth Dimension, making him the effective leader of his generation since age twelve; conquest of weaker competitors offers no challenge. He expects to defeat Leonel as the final obstacle and uses the duel as the life-and-death pressure his protected upbringing has denied him. (Chapters 2086–2088)

Their battle reveals the full architecture of his combat style. Amery wields two swords independently, supports them with separate Dark Force and Gaia Force Innate Nodes, and answers Leonel's Absolute Spear Domain with his own Absolute Sword Domain. He is a True Sword Sovereign who has survived the same sort of wider tribulation as Leonel. His Natural Light Realm centers day and night on his two swords, and his analytical ability lets him adapt from exchange to exchange. When Leonel pierces his brain, Amery's separated soul and Gaia vitality keep him alive long enough to heal and break into the Cosmos Realm. (Chapters 2088–2095)

Even that breakthrough does not decide the contest. Leonel uses repeated spear-dance accumulation, a perfectly concealed bow clone, and Amery's inability to recover quickly enough after their strongest exchange. The final arrow shreds Amery's internal organs, but Gaia Force, his displaced Ethereal Glabella, and extraordinary vitality prevent immediate death. Leonel chooses capture rather than execution because Amery has earned his respect, is a fellow True Sovereign, and may be necessary against the larger threats beyond the Human Domain. Amery ends the Heir Wars unconscious inside a snow globe—defeated, but preserved precisely because he proved too valuable to discard. (Chapters 2096–2104)

Godlen captivity and a family erased

After the Human Domain's collapse, Amery is returned to his grandfather and then captured again with Anya, his arranged fiancée. The Godlens later hold him beside Noah Fawkes, using both Domain Ring bearers in experiments intended to perfect a Domain Lineage Factor that grants Sovereign Weapon Force. Amery's responses advance the research more than Noah's, but the progress is purchased through mental enslavement and invasive work on mind and soul. (Chapters 2415 and 2422–2429)

Leonel extracts Amery and Noah from the laboratory while sabotaging the Godlen compound. Recovery is not merely physical for Amery. Unlike Noah, he had no effective mental sanctuary; trapped inside his own mind, he was forced to watch his parents, grandfather, siblings, cousins, and the wider Suiard family die. The sword that had defined his superiority was not strong enough to protect any of them, turning the old confidence of the Sword Deity into grief and self-accusation. (Chapters 2426–2429 and 2496)

When Leonel visits, Amery is already swinging a wooden sword again. He asks whether Leonel will give him a chance to kill those responsible and allows that Leonel might be among his targets. Their exchange remains adversarial, but Leonel does not confine him or demand verbal submission. Amery stops a blade an inch from Leonel's face, resumes training, and accepts the practical reality that the man who once captured him is also the one who freed him. (Chapter 2496)

Amery initially refuses Leonel's invitation to join his developing organization. He wants battle and blood rather than another protected enclosure, but a human alone in the wider Existence risks enslavement before finding a worthy path. Leonel promises that stabilizing Human Bubbles and subduing Demon Bubbles will give him a battlefield. The offer reframes their relationship around mutual use: Leonel needs an elite swordsman, and Amery needs a war large enough to turn discipline into lived experience. (Chapter 2790)

A sword above all things and the Idol Battlefield

Amery spends years in Leonel's inner world drilling the same wooden-sword stroke without pause, food, or distraction. He relies on the two Innate Nodes for sustenance and grinds a crater into the ground through repetition alone. The obsession preserves his extraordinary technique but eventually creates a wall: by making the sword the only lens through which he understands reality, he cannot see what the next stage of Weapon Force requires. (Chapters 3089 and 3098–3099)

Leonel refuses to hand him a completed answer. Instead, he asks whether Amery wants a sword that becomes all things or one that stands above all things. Amery chooses supremacy. His golden sword becomes an intent capable of cutting laws rather than assimilating them—a path opposite Leonel's effort to make Weapon Force the binding medium for his other affinities. Their two paths provoke each other, but both men suppress the urge to turn the moment into a death match and clasp hands in a spontaneous clash of sword and spear halos. (Chapters 3099–3101)

That choice completes Amery's movement from inherited system to self-authored path. Leonel had identified that systematic Suiard training chained Amery to a route chosen in childhood; after losing the family that imposed it, Amery still chooses the sword, but now decides what the sword means. He accepts the prospect of blood and war at Leonel's side without abandoning the rivalry or his identification with the Suiards. Leonel expects him to claim the sword portion of the Idol Battlefield and makes him part of the future core of his coalition. (Chapters 3100–3101, 3124, and 3166)

Amery's latest appearance confirms that expectation. On the final Idol Battlefield, he appears on the sword monument before Minerva and Vaelgor. The scene establishes survival and priority among the named sword claimants, but it does not yet show the result of the monument's contest or name a new formal dimensional tier. (Chapter 3227)

Appearance and personality

Amery is a pale young man with long black hair that falls down his back. He is usually dressed in flowing robes and carries a thick wooden sword whose quiet strokes display more danger than a visibly stronger weapon. When his power rises, his eyes become deep red or magenta, horns emerge, and his frame grows past seven feet; the transformation gives him a demonic appearance without establishing him as a Demon. (Chapters 860, 888, 2089–2091, and 2790)

He is reserved, arrogant, disciplined, and almost entirely sword-centered. Amery speaks little, but his early silences come from disregard rather than shyness: he has never met a peer and sees weak opponents as distractions. He is not needlessly bloodthirsty and can withdraw after defeat, yet his certainty that he knows who deserves a Domain Ring makes him casually willing to maim or kill. Repeated loss replaces effortless superiority with an appetite for genuine adversity, while family annihilation turns practice into penance. Even after joining Leonel's orbit, he remains competitive, severe, and loyal first to the truth he finds through the sword. (Chapters 891–895, 1387–1400, 2087–2088, 2496, and 2790–3101)

Abilities and cultivation

Amery is explicitly Sixth-Dimensional when introduced and later fights in the Seventh Dimension, but the corpus does not provide a complete, safely dated chain through every intervening tier or a final dimensional endpoint. His meaningful development is shown most clearly through Sword Force, Universal Force, self-authored weapon philosophy, and the use of two Innate Nodes. (Chapters 860, 1371, 2093–2099, and 3227)

Sword mastery and True Sword Sovereignty

Amery has trained with the sword from toddlerhood and was recognized as the Suiard family's generational leader by age twelve. His core practice is repetition: he swings a wooden sword continually, reinforcing muscle memory, perception, and the bond between intention and blade. Even a common wooden weapon carries enough Sword Force to overwhelm Leonel's earlier primitive spear, and Amery can fight multiple Rapax whose weakened strength remains beyond ordinary Sixth-Dimensional opponents. (Chapters 860, 891–895, 1371, and 2087)

He is a True Sword Sovereign. His Sword Force has personal character and can suppress or sever weapons near the Seventh Dimension; it travels through hostile Anarchic environments, although range weakens it there. His Absolute Sword Domain forms a cyclone of Sword Force around him and can be collapsed or redeployed as multiple offensive vortices. Sovereignty does not guarantee victory: a superior Sovereign of a relevant Force can suppress its element, and Leonel's Shadow Sovereignty sharply weakens Amery's Dark Force-supported sword. At his later wall, Amery's commitment becomes too narrow to reveal what lies beyond ordinary Weapon Force progression. He resolves it by choosing a sword that stands above all things. The resulting golden intent is framed as able to cut through laws and defenses rather than becoming or controlling them. This is a newly established path, not proof that every possible target can already be severed; the Idol Battlefield contest remains unresolved at his latest appearance. (Chapters 3099–3101 and 3227)

Dual swords and Absolute Sword Domain

Amery fights ambidextrously with two blades. Each arm can perform an independent task while remaining part of one defense: one sword draws, redirects, or creates a bow-like arc while the other thrusts through the opening. The two-weapon structure lets him close a spear's range, parry from an apparently exposed posture, and attack reality and the void at once. His Life Grade blades can shift their material presence, including a Dark Force sword that becomes formless enough to evade a physical parry. (Chapters 2088–2091)

The style depends on precision and balance. Disrupting one half of the cycle weakens the Natural Light Realm built across both swords, while anti-Darkness effects can prevent one blade from drawing external Force. His hands are also meaningful targets because the Innate Nodes sit on their backs; damage does not remove the Nodes, but can interfere with grip and immediate sword use. (Chapters 1389–1400 and 2091–2096)

Dark Force and Gaia Force Innate Nodes

Amery possesses two high-level Innate Nodes, one on each hand. The Dark Force Innate Node makes one sword elusive, formless, and difficult to track; it can hide through shadows and attack partly through the void. It is powerful but vulnerable to forces and domains that compel hidden space to manifest or purge Darkness from the environment. Leonel's Emulation Spatial Force and Lotus Domain both constrain it, while Shadow Sovereignty directly suppresses it. (Chapters 2089–2095)

The Gaia Force Innate Node combines Water, Earth, and Life Forces. It gives the other sword the persistence of water, the weight and resilience of earth, and a deep reserve of vitality. Amery borrows strength from land and bodies of water, uses Life Force to resist Destruction, and heals otherwise fatal damage to his brain and organs. The environmental dependence matters: his recovery and reinforcement are stronger on land or near water, and the vacuum of space offers no comparable reservoir. (Chapters 2090–2099 and 3099)

The Nodes also support long training without ordinary food and reinforce both arms' Nodal Pathways, helping Amery develop true ambidexterity. In later years he focuses so completely on Sword Force that even Leonel observes he behaves as though he has forgotten the Nodes; they remain his energy base, but no longer define the philosophy of his blade. (Chapters 3089 and 3099–3100)

Universal Force and the Cosmos Realm

Amery deliberately applies Universal Force only to his sword rather than learning a complete, all-purpose expression. In the Natural Light Realm, his Dark and Gaia swords become the centers of night and day, with Amery as their dividing line. This sacrifice of versatility produces extraordinary concentration: Universal Force magnifies the sword techniques themselves, but offers less support to actions outside them. (Chapters 2091–2094)

After surviving a strike through the head, he breaks into the Cosmos Realm during combat. A canopy of stars replaces day and night, and their movements carry sword intent; this realm normally allows a Seventh-Dimensional user to contest the Eighth Dimension. The breakthrough greatly increases his offense and perception, but it is new and requires adaptation. Leonel survives by accumulating a technique over hundreds of exchanges and attacking again before Gaia Force restores Amery enough to answer. (Chapters 2093–2097)

Analysis, adaptation, and combat learning

Amery has an analytical Ability Index comparable in function to Aina's rapid adaptive growth, though the corpus does not supply a formal name or grade. He reads clones, tracks layered attacks, and improves his sword during a duel. Once the Cosmos Realm gives him room to develop, his growth accelerates fast enough to keep pace with Leonel's evolving Spear Dance and touch a higher layer of Seventh-Dimensional Sword Force under lethal pressure. (Chapters 2089 and 2093–2096)

The ability is strongest when experience supplies new information; a protected life leaves it underfed. Amery himself concludes that life-and-death battles are the missing ingredient and plans to leave the Human Domain's shelter. His later captivity proves the danger of confusing adversity with unrestricted growth: mental enslavement gives pain without agency, and does not protect him from being trapped inside his own mind. Separated soul and extreme vitality

Amery has separated his soul from his body through a Spiritual-derived method associated with his fiancée's people. His Ethereal Glabella is therefore not in the expected forehead or chest location. Destroying the brain does not immediately end consciousness, and catastrophic organ damage can be survived long enough for Gaia Force to rebuild the body. (Chapters 2092–2097 and 2124)

This is survivability, not invulnerability. Leonel defeats him by stacking injuries and timing a second attack before he can recover, leaving Amery unconscious for an extended period. More importantly, the separated soul does not inherently grant mental defense; the Godlens imprison his awareness so thoroughly that he watches his family's destruction without being able to act.
