Biography
From the back row to apprenticeship
Nathan is a clever Third-Level Apprentice whom Saul deliberately selects from the back row during a Sky City lecture. His unusual luck comes from distributing Cat's Gratitude replicas for Floco, an obligation that also exposes him to the Water God's curse. Saul removes the binding, gives Nathan an intense course of advanced instruction, and treats him as a temporary student. Decades later, Saul finds him hiding during the final crisis, assigns him work, and accepts Nathan's eager address of “Master,” confirming the relationship Nathan had long desired. Appearance and personality
Nathan is a young male apprentice initially seated among overlooked students. Intelligent, bold, and opportunistic, he is also genuinely hungry for knowledge and intensely loyal once Saul teaches him.
Abilities
He reaches Third-Level Apprentice, learns runes and advanced theory quickly, and benefits for a time from magically granted luck.
