Biography

Instruction and death in the valley

Monroe serves as the Second Rank teaching senior who times Saul's questions with a blue hourglass and answers only within the tower's deliberately limited instructional rules. He later survives for months with the expedition trapped in the Elven Valley, where experience makes him one of the apparent veterans. That endurance ends when Mark attacks him amid the pale figures and flees, turning Monroe's scream into the signal that the expedition's temporary cooperation has collapsed into murder. Appearance and personality

Monroe is a male senior apprentice with a restrained, businesslike manner. He follows rules exactly, offering useful instruction without volunteering knowledge beyond his assigned role.

Abilities

As a Second Rank Apprentice, he possesses enough combat and survival skill to endure an extended Elven Valley entrapment.
