Biography
Teacher, defender, and patient
Monica introduces new apprentices to meditation and teaches lightning magic with a severity that makes her classes physically memorable. During the tower revolt she initially conserves herself because large-scale casting blackens and destabilizes her body, but obeys Gorsa's order to protect Saul and later supports the injured Kaz. Her service and dangerous condition converge when the newly advanced Gorsa chooses to take her to the Glare family, where she hopes their inheritance can finally treat the price of her power. Appearance and personality
Monica is a blonde woman whose body carries scorch-like black-and-white changes after heavy casting. Strict and intimidating as a teacher, she is cautious about her limits and deeply wary of Gorsa while still relying on his promises.
Abilities
She specializes in powerful lightning magic, but sustained use seriously damages her body and restricts how long she can fight.
