Biography
Merchant at Rhine Lake
Jiajia Gu arrives at Rhine Lake carrying an enormous pack and immediately identifies the current owner as the person with whom business must be done. He wants to buy complete wraith souls, but Saul's refusal and unusual power turn a simple purchase into a longer commercial relationship. The halfling supplies rare goods, news, valuations, and routes that connect the isolated Borderland to outside markets, while adjusting quickly to the growth of the Purity Wizard Tower and Rhine City. By the time Saul's tower changes again, Jiajia Gu is still present outside the mushroom forest as a recognizable member of the settlement's working life. (Chapters 537–567, 604–681, and 705)
Appearance and personality
Jiajia Gu is a short halfling nearly hidden beneath his huge merchant's pack. He is cheerful, persistent, profit-minded, and skilled at flattering whoever currently controls a territory without confusing courtesy for loyalty. (Chapters 537–550)
Abilities
His strengths are appraisal, procurement, travel, negotiation, and broad knowledge of Borderland factions and magical commodities. He survives through information and mobility rather than high-rank combat. (Chapters 537–567 and 604–681)
