The apartment haunting

Izzy was a young Caugust resident whose roommate vanished while a charred figure began stalking the apartment. She tried to resign and leave the city, but regulations delayed clearance for three months, trapping her inside the danger. The haunting consumed her before bureaucracy released her: Izzy died and became a cracked, charred wraith driven to seek water. Academy wizards finally sealed the transformed soul in a bottle, treating the personal catastrophe as another contained urban incident. (Chapters 480–490)

Appearance and personality

Izzy is initially an ordinary young woman strained by fear and institutional helplessness. After death, she appears as a blackened, cracked body whose desperate search for water replaces her former judgment.
