Biography

Steward of a new tower

Hope introduces himself when Saul takes possession of the wizard tower at Rhine Lake, explaining that the tower recognizes Saul as master and that no other steward remains. He offers Saul the right to rename him, but Saul preserves the name Hope and gradually entrusts him with the household, visitors, supplies, servants, and the tower's daily operation. Hope remains composed as Saul's rank and responsibilities expand, notices mental exhaustion through the tower's connection, and is one of the few residents willing to knock on the Fourth Rank wizard's private door when practical care requires interruption. Appearance and personality

Hope behaves like a formal human steward, using precise bows and respectful titles, but his existence is bound to the wizard tower rather than an ordinary independent life. He is attentive, discreet, and unchanged by Saul's rising status. (Chapters 535–567, 675, and 1001)

Abilities

Through the tower bond, Hope monitors rooms, senses his master's condition, manages access and servants, and coordinates the material routines that keep a research community functional. He is an administrator, not a field combatant. (Chapters 535–567, 675, 705–808, and 1001)
