Biography

Patient turned field ally

Ed came to Saul as a polluted First Rank wizard in his forties, his body crowded with parasites that had become both method and liability. Treatment stabilized him and produced a star-shaped eye, after which he joined a rescue during the Storm Eye and contributed his parasites alongside Mordy's metal chain. Black-tide pressure made the creatures rebel, forcing Saul to cleanse him again. Ed remained loyal afterward, serving as a scout and teleportation anchor near Old Days Manor and reporting what he observed. (Chapters 659–706)

Appearance and personality

Ed is a middle-aged man whose altered body houses numerous parasites. He is practical, grateful, and willing to enter hazardous field work after Saul gives him control and a chance to remain useful.
