The termite pregnancy
Dolly, a red-dressed True Wizard known to Kismet, carried a Humpback Termite queen in her womb as part of an advancement design. The pregnancy made her body both practitioner and incubator, but the queen emerged prematurely and killed her before the arrangement could mature. Monte then severed Dolly's head and used it to imitate the mother, manipulating the newborn termite's instincts for his own plan. Dolly's cultivated risk thus outlived her only as a tool in another wizard's deception. (Chapters 555–560)
Appearance and personality
Dolly is visibly pregnant and dressed in red. She displays the resolve and dangerous ambition of a wizard willing to make her own body the vessel for an experimental creature.
