Biography

Liaison to Black Castle

Buri handled practical affairs for Kema's faction, accepting the old man brought by Saul and arranging supplies for Black Castle. When violence and suspicion spread through the region, he returned under the ordinary pretext of delivering provisions but also needed to demonstrate that he had not participated in the attacks surrounding Kema and the Land Drifters. Saul heard him without promising protection, leaving Buri alive but aware that careful neutrality could not guarantee trust. (Chapters 281–300)

Appearance and personality

Buri's appearance receives little emphasis. His manner is polite, careful, and administrative; under suspicion, that composure becomes a persistent effort to establish his innocence without provoking stronger wizards.
