Biography

Hidden survivor and refugee leader

Aqua is Coral's younger brother, an atavistic mermaid whose natural concealment of mental power allows him to grow up hidden from Tribunal experimentation. He organizes covert survivors under Mr. Black Fish, worries constantly over Coral's polluted tail, and helps execute the escape even after learning their protector's true identity. When Floco rescues the group, Aqua becomes an active leader while deferring to Coral's strategy. He later carries the severely injured Floco toward Stat Continent and helps relocate the community near the Sighing Wall. (Chapters 817, 831, 857–861, 959, 1008)

Appearance and personality

Aqua resembles Coral but has deep blue-green hair and eyes and a silver tail partly covered in cyan scales. Protective, brave, and strength-admiring, he can be impulsive but accepts Coral's better judgment.

Abilities

He swims powerfully, has a stronger atavistic soul than common modified mermaids, and automatically conceals his mental-power signature.

Relationships

• Coral: Aqua loves and protects his elder sister while recognizing her as the community's more capable strategist.
• Floco: Aqua admires Floco as rescuer and ancestral Water God, then helps preserve him when Douglas's attack leaves him unconscious.
