Yuchi Xiyue

Yuchi Xiyue, publicly known as Princess Xiyue, is Ji Ning's maternal cousin and one of the last descendants of the Yuchi clan. Her recovery of a living relative gradually balances a life previously organized around revenge on the Youngflame clan.

Biography

The hidden Yuchi survivor

Xiyue is raised in King Yan's estate after the destruction of her father's clan. When she learns that the young man who killed Youngflame Nong is Yuchi Snow's son, she quietly investigates Swallow Mountain and arranges a private meeting. She uses formation flags to block surveillance before revealing that Ning is her younger cousin, a relationship she has hidden even from most of her own household. (Chapters 294 and 301)

Her secrecy protects a larger purpose. The Youngflame clan destroyed the Yuchi clan and her father Yuchi Mount died with revenge as an unfulfilled hope. Xiyue believes her own cultivation talent is too ordinary to destroy such a power directly, so she plans to use her place in the imperial family, conceal her surname, and wait for a political opening. She is even prepared to establish a line of descendants who will continue the goal if she cannot complete it. (Chapter 302)

Meeting Ning changes the emotional cost of that plan. She brings him into King Yan's Estate, gives him a secure base before the Conclave, and reacts to the Floatcloud assassination with fear as much as anger. Ning is no longer only a talented weapon against the Youngflames; besides her grandfather, he is the only family she has left. (Chapters 304–314)

Conclave and family

During the Conclave, Xiyue supports Ning and Yu Wei from outside the battlefield. She warns Ning and Sloppy Daoist not to relax after early success because the true opportunity is apprenticeship under a Daofather. Her attention is practical rather than ceremonial: she understands how one alliance could change Ning's survival and the balance against the Youngflames. (Chapters 334–355)

Ning's later plan to attack the Youngflame headquarters confronts Xiyue with competing desires. She wants the clan's blood debt repaid and initially insists on accompanying him despite being only a Primal Daoist. Yet she also urges delay because revenge is no longer worth any cost if it takes her recovered brother. Her willingness to wait marks a shift from the woman prepared to spend her own life solely as a weapon. (Chapters 441–442)

When karmic sinflames drive Ning out of Grand Xia and survival seems unlikely, Xiyue stops smiling and continues searching for news. His return restores a relationship she had believed lost like the rest of her family. Ning continues visiting her afterward, while the corpus leaves her latest cultivation and final role in the Youngflame conflict unstated. (Chapters 482–483 and 574)

Appearance and personality

Xiyue is introduced as a green-robed young woman whose royal bearing conceals the Yuchi name. She is patient, politically aware, and capable of severe hatred, but not blindly reckless: she hides her plans for years and reassesses them when Ning's life is at risk. Around her cousin she is protective and emotionally direct, readily calling him her little brother after a lifetime of secrecy. (Chapters 294, 301–302, 314, and 441–483)

Abilities and cultivation

Xiyue is a Primal Daoist. The corpus presents her as a capable cultivator but emphasizes protective formations, secrecy, investigation, and imperial access rather than a named offensive art.

Privacy formation

She carries nine formation flags given by King Yan. Placed around a room, they activate a gray, rippling barrier and cooperate with existing seals to sever the interior from external observation. Xiyue states that even Celestial Immortals would find a hidden, aura-suppressed person difficult to detect through it. The formation protects a bounded conversation space; it is not shown stopping a direct attack. (Chapter 301)

Political and investigative resources

Xiyue can request intelligence through the Heavenly Treasures Mountain, dispatch investigators to Swallow Mountain, and provide sanctuary inside a Celestial Immortal's royal estate. These capabilities derive from her position as King Yan's granddaughter, not from personal combat power. She deliberately uses them because she judges a direct Primal-Daoist confrontation with the Youngflame clan impossible. (Chapters 294, 301–304, and 314)

Cultivation limits

She explicitly considers her talent ordinary and does not expect to become a Celestial Immortal through genius alone. At the time of Ning's headquarters campaign she remains a Primal Daoist, far below the Celestial Immortals they may face. The corpus gives no demonstrated signature attack, so her proposed participation reflects courage and family loyalty rather than evidence that she could decide the battle herself.
