Xiamang Zishan

Xiamang Zishan is the imperial clan's most celebrated young competitor at the Conclave of Immortal Destiny. His lightning-infused staff arts and powerful Fiendgod body make him a leading favorite, but his brittle determination prevents him from adapting when Ji Ning's swordplay evolves.

Biography

Favorite entering the Conclave

The Heavenly Treasures Mountain ranks Zishan first among more than one hundred thousand competitors, and the Xia Emperor considers him the best junior of the imperial clan. Zishan joins his childhood companion Cangwu Jiu inside the Brightmoon Diagram after neither can defeat the other. They pool pursuit and combat strengths, gather talismans, and hunt other famous competitors while Zishan repeatedly declares that only first place will satisfy him. (Chapters 296–327)

First battle with Ning

Zishan and Cangwu corner Ning and Yu Wei. Zishan enlarges his body, surrounds himself with violet lightning, and uses the self-created Qiankun Staff of Force to overpower Ning in direct collisions. He matches Ning's Three Heads, Six Arms and forces him to rely on agility rather than strength. The pair fail to finish the battle because Yu Wei's Taiji-based escape treasure carries her and Ning beyond even Cangwu's pursuit. (Chapters 327–329)

Defeat in the final rounds

Zishan reaches the last elimination rounds and faces Ning again for a place in the top three. His staff remains devastating, but Ning combines multiple sword rhythms—fast and slow, fierce and gentle—until Zishan cannot keep pace. He repeatedly heals severe wounds and grows berserk rather than changing tactics. Only after his body is cut in half does he concede, losing both the duel and his hoped-for position as Daofather Crimsonbright's chosen disciple. (Chapters 344 and 347–349)

Appearance and personality

Zishan is a massively built, violet-robed youth with an imperial air of nobility and natural domination. Violet lightning surrounds him in combat, and thunder crackles in his eyes. He is heroic, sociable with Cangwu, and genuinely formidable, but also brash and excessively rigid. The Xia Emperor explicitly judges him too hard and brittle: when victory slips away, confidence becomes bloodshot obsession rather than tactical flexibility. (Chapters 327–329 and 347–348)

Abilities and cultivation

Crimsonbright body refinement

Zishan trains in the Crimsonbright Diagram of the Nine Heavens and reaches its twelfth stage, giving him a powerful Wanxiang-level Fiendgod body. He can become sixty meters tall, withstand heavy collisions, and regenerate even after his body is split apart. Healing repeatedly consumes divine power, so it prolongs a duel but does not erase accumulated exhaustion. (Chapters 327–329 and 347–348)

Qiankun Staff of Force

His self-created staff art channels a Grand Dao of Lightning and four complete ordinary Dao-Paths through enormous black steel staffs. The third stance can match Ning's Starseizing-enhanced blow, while the newly created fourth stance overpowers him outright in a head-on clash. Staff strikes trade agility and piercing precision for crushing force; once Ning stops contesting raw power and varies six complementary sword rhythms, Zishan struggles to respond. Three Heads, Six Arms

Zishan manifests three heads and six arms, wielding three staffs simultaneously. This multiplies the angles and volume of his lightning-charged blows and lets him match another multi-armed Fiendgod refiner. It remains an amplifier of his existing staff style, not an answer to evasive movement or constantly changing sword tempos. (Chapters 328–329 and 347–348)

Lightning defenses

Violet lightning radiates from Zishan's body and can deflect weaker thunder attacks before they reach him. His sea of consciousness also recovers quickly from Ning's Soldiers of the Mind, though the attack briefly pauses him. These defenses show strong elemental and mental resilience without making him immune to superior close-combat technique. (Chapter 328)
