Sectlord Timedream

Sectlord Timedream is the fifth-ranked supreme Daolord when the contest for the Voidsea Jadeseals begins. His heartworld, soul illusions, crystalline dreamform, and stockpile of offensive treasures make him dangerous at range, but Ji Ning kills him after breaking through.

Biography

Hunt for the Voidsea Jadeseals

Timedream scans the Waveshift Realm with a supreme heartworld projection while avoiding direct projection clashes that would blind every Heartforce Cultivator involved. He tries to stop King Gorsch and the Radiant King from escaping with jadeseals, then tracks routes and coordinates ambushes against Ning and Ninedust. Ning's heartworld projection is weaker at first but repeatedly pushes back, preventing Timedream from halting the pair. (Chapters 1087–1095)

Assault on Ninedust

Timedream joins Snowjoy, Shaka, and Kingfreak. His illusion directly enters Ninedust's mind, replacing the snowy battlefield with a beautiful gorge and disrupting the invulnerable aquaform so physical attackers can inflict lasting injuries. Ning's Hegemon Dao-seal and novessence arts overturn the assault, repeatedly crushing Timedream's projection and making him a priority target. (Chapters 1097–1101)

Death at Darknorth's hands

Timedream retreats because his close combat is weaker than his heartforce. His crystalline dreamform escapes Ning's first binding attack, and he expends nine lord-level offensive items over six hours. Shadowless evasion prevents the treasures from locking onto Ning, wasting their power. Ning finally kills Timedream; the confirmed death helps elevate Darknorth to second place among the era's Daolords. (Chapters 1102–1106)

Appearance and personality

The corpus emphasizes Timedream's shifting, unreal body more than an ordinary portrait. He is calculating, possessive of opportunities, and willing to coordinate several killers around a target's weakness. When his ranged advantages fail, confidence becomes terror because he understands that his close-combat limitations leave no safe answer to Ning. (Chapters 1091–1104)

Abilities and cultivation

Heartworld projection

Timedream projects a heartworld across vast distances to scan, slow, and suppress opponents. Against other supreme projections, mutual collision can eliminate everyone's ability to observe. Ning's novessence arts repeatedly smash his projection aside, showing that even superior heartforce can lose when opposed by sufficiently strong non-heartforce secret arts. (Chapters 1089–1101)

Soul illusion

His voice delivers an illusion directly into Ninedust's mind and soul, replacing perceived reality without requiring physical contact. The disruption interferes with maintaining aquaform, enabling allies to injure a normally invulnerable target. Ning escapes Timedream's illusion, so strong Dao-hearts or specialized resistance can counter it. (Chapters 1098–1102)

Crystalline dreamform

Timedream turns almost translucent and becomes a crystalline shadow, slipping free after Ning wraps a sword around his waist. This evasion avoids immediate death but does not make him untargetable indefinitely, especially against Shadowless pursuit. (Chapter 1103)

Offensive treasures

He carries at least nine consumable attacks with power comparable to lords of the eight Sacred Cities. They are enormously destructive but must be aimed; Ning's disappearance repeatedly denies a target, turning quantity into wasted resources. (Chapter 1104)
