Patriarch Treewind is a legendary Otherverse Lord of the Bluesky Realmverse who rescues Nuwa in the Blazesun Domain, trains her to Hegemonic power, and helps her find a path back toward the Three Realms.

Biography

Rescuing and training Nuwa

After Nuwa is displaced from the Three Realms, she appears in the lethal Blazesun Domain as a World-level cultivator. She survives a Sithe site and several later dangers before encountering Treewind, who saves her, accepts her as a disciple, and leads her out of the domain to the Bluesky Realmverse. Under his protection and instruction, she advances from a stranded outsider to a Daolord and eventually succeeds in the Daomerge to become a Hegemon. Treewind praises her talent openly to other major powers rather than concealing it out of possessiveness. (Chapters 1295–1296 and 1329)

Return to the Blazesun Domain

Treewind later joins Nuwa, Imperator Jade Rainbow, and other Hegemons on an expedition to recover what Nuwa believes is a Sithe armory. When a rival group seizes an otherverse they nearly acquired, Treewind accepts Nuwa's argument that the loss is secondary: he and Jade Rainbow already control otherverses, and the expedition's real purpose lies ahead. The “armory” proves to be an estate of the Blazesun Ruler. Although Treewind angrily notes that the group knowingly pressed through suspicious defenses and took the treasures, he does not shift all blame onto his disciple when the Ruler's servants arrive. Ning's arrival changes their prospects. Treewind recognizes both the almost unrivaled power of the failed Daolord and the severe cost of forcing him into a prolonged battle. He judges that a healthy Ning could face the Blazesun Ruler, but that a crumbling truesoul makes such a confrontation dangerous. Once Ning chooses to help, Treewind joins the party rather than assuming the crisis is over. (Chapters 1296 and 1305–1306)

Traveling with Darknorth

Treewind accompanies Ning's group through the Blazesun Domain and waits while Ning studies at the Wellspring Sea. When Jade Rainbow questions why a dying man would spend his remaining time cultivating, Treewind dismisses the complaint: that very devotion is why Darknorth reached such heights. He later identifies the Blazesun Ruler's warship and helps the group understand the Earthfire Continent, including the strange custom of cultivators seeking occasional guidance from an imprisoned Sithe Exalt. Nuwa's otherverse and homecoming

After Nuwa gains control of an otherverse, Treewind asks where she intends to station it and accepts her decision to place it near her homeland as a refuge and foundation for the people of the Three Realms. He parts from her without obstructing the return for which she has waited so long. Nuwa's eventual homecoming is therefore also the completion of Treewind's long act of mentorship: he saved a lost World-level cultivator, helped her become a Hegemon, and respected her choice to carry that strength home. Appearance and personality

Treewind is an old, stooped man with long fiery-red hair, robes made from fiery leaves, and a fiery branch growing from his head. His legendary status does not make him inflexible. He is pragmatic about lost treasure, proud of Nuwa without treating her as property, sharp with allies who evade responsibility, and perceptive about the motives that drive cultivators such as Ning. His caution around the Blazesun Ruler reflects informed judgment rather than cowardice. (Chapters 1295–1296, 1306, and 1311)

Otherverse Lord

Treewind is an Eternal Emperor powerful enough to control an otherverse, placing him above ordinary Hegemons. An otherverse is an immense self-contained cosmos whose laws and resources answer to its lord; possession provides a vast territorial foundation, though it does not make the owner invincible outside it. Hegemonic survival and travel

He can operate in the Blazesun Domain, rescue Nuwa from dangers that nearly killed her, and escort her across domains to the Bluesky Realmverse. These feats require the durability, perception, and spacetime travel expected of a top Eternal Emperor. (Chapters 1296 and 1329)

Avatar and long-distance coordination

While his true body explores the Blazesun Domain, Treewind leaves an avatar to meet the avatars of allies and maintain communications across vast distances. (Chapter 1295)

Treewind accurately distinguishes Ning's peak striking power from his inability to sustain a long fight after the failed Daomerge.
