Immortal Gaudy

True Immortal Gaudy is a Pure Yang True Immortal of the Seamless Gate and the brother-in-law of Violetgrass. Normally graceful and cautious, he becomes violently fixated on Ji Ning after witnessing Violetgrass's death, but twice fails to avenge her.

Biography

Violetgrass's death

Violetgrass carries an emergency talisman linked to Gaudy because he has watched her grow up and considers her a little sister. When she breaks it during Ji Ning's attack, Gaudy immediately crosses space through Greater Teleportation. He arrives quickly enough to see her die but not to stop the blow. Grief turns his renowned composure into murderous rage, and he attacks Ning's entire group rather than attempting negotiation. (Chapters 490–491)

Gaudy's black-white seal overpowers local defenses, while his severing of the surrounding dimension prevents Ning, Yu Wei, Immortal Diancai, and Celestial Immortal Unity from teleporting away. Ning's seven full-power Houyi arrows delay him long enough for the Xia Emperor to force a tunnel into the sealed region. Gaudy refuses the order to leave and challenges the Emperor with his nine-chain technique, but the Emperor's three golden dragons wound him and establish a decisive advantage. Gaudy escapes through the Grand Dao of Qiankun, swearing that Ning will die. (Chapters 491–492)

A cautious revenge

Back at the Seamless Gate, Gaudy blames Gatemaster Azurefox for failing to arrive, then acknowledges that her movement arts could not match his. Although he wants revenge, he refuses a reckless second solo attack. He recognizes that the Xia Emperor now expects him, that the Xiamang clan can kill one isolated True Immortal, and that fury does not make trading his own life for Ning's sensible. He agrees to act only if the Gate creates a favorable opportunity. (Chapters 492–493)

That opportunity appears when a large group of Seamless Gate experts sends incarnations or clones holding roughly one-tenth of their full power to Brightheart Island. Gaudy helps lead the strike, but the attackers teleport beside the sleeping Old Man Yuan. The Daofather freezes all fifty-five bodies, allows them to speak, and rejects their pleas. His gardening shears kill Gaudy's incarnation with the rest. Because the dispatched body was explicitly an incarnation or clone, this is not the death of Gaudy's true body; the corpus does not show his later fate. (Chapters 498–500)

Appearance and personality

Gaudy has a handsome face and is ordinarily famous as relaxed, graceful, and refined. The loss of Violetgrass twists that expression into savagery, with red light in his eyes and a towering killing intent.

Even in grief, Gaudy retains strategic judgment. He identifies the Xia Emperor's political and military advantage, refuses to let Azurefox manipulate him into a suicidal attack, and retreats when a fight is lost. His loyalty to family is sincere, but it expresses itself as indiscriminate vengeance against Ning and everyone protecting him.

Abilities and cultivation

Pure Yang True Immortal

Gaudy is a Pure Yang True Immortal, a major power of the Three Realms with full True Immortal energy and a Daofather-level patronage background typical of his rank. He substantially exceeds the Celestial Immortals in Ning's group and can threaten them all at once. The Xia Emperor, however, has stronger personal cultivation, deeper treasures, and home-territory support, leaving Gaudy unable to win their direct clash. (Chapters 490–493)

Grand Dao of Qiankun

Gaudy has fully mastered the Grand Dao of Qiankun, governing space and spatial movement. He can perform Greater Teleportation without consuming a Dao-seal, arrive rapidly in response to Violetgrass's talisman, and flee even after being wounded by the Xia Emperor. Mastery also lets him dimensionally sever a region so ordinary teleportation cannot enter or leave it. The limitation is relative authority: the Xia Emperor's Brightheart Lamp can forcibly tear a path through the sealed space, and Old Man Yuan can suppress Gaudy before he activates any escape. (Chapters 491–492 and 500)

Black-white seal

Gaudy attacks with an enormous black-white seal capable of smashing through protective formations and caving in the surrounding earth. The seal repeatedly intercepts Ning's blazing Houyi arrows. Each arrow slows it and forces another collision, but the weapon resumes its descent after the seventh shot. The sequence shows great crushing power and defense against ranged attacks, while also showing that sustained high-level archery can delay it. (Chapter 491)

Nine golden chains

Gaudy's true battle technique manifests nine golden chains whose ends sink into the void before sweeping toward the enemy. The chains are quiet, stealthy, and insidious; as they weave, surrounding space ripples like water. The Xia Emperor answers with three golden dragons and breaks the assault badly enough to make Gaudy vomit blood. The technique's spatial subtlety is dangerous, but it cannot overcome a stronger opponent with superior Protocosmic treasures. (Chapter 492)

Incarnation

Gaudy can dispatch an incarnation or clone carrying about one-tenth of his full power. This lets him participate in the Brightheart Island strike without exposing his true body. The reduced body retains his identity and True Immortal-level aura in combination with the other leaders, but its destruction by Old Man Yuan does not kill the original. (Chapters 499–500)
