Immortal Duohe

Immortal Duohe is the oldest and most powerful individual native to the Immortal estate world claimed by Youngflame Nong. He unites its scattered monsters in an attempt to preserve their freedom, then accepts Ji Ning's offer of escape and repays that rescue by protecting the Ji clan.

Biography

Defending the Immortal estate world

Duohe has lived in the sealed estate for more than one hundred thousand years and leads one of its two greatest monstrous powers. When Youngflame Nong's party begins binding the estate's palaces, Duohe understands that the struggle concerns more than ownership of treasure. Once an outsider controls the estate, that person can open or close its exits, alter its environment, import an army, or destroy the conditions on which generations of monsters depend. Duohe therefore treats resistance as a fight for both freedom and survival. (Chapters 266–269)

He swears a Dao oath of alliance with Immortal Witchsui and brings the lesser monstrous tribes into a combined force. More than twenty thousand monsters form the Seawave Dao-soldier formation under his direction. Duohe first attempts to stop the intruders by force, timing the formation's waves against their warship and Xiangliu Fang. When one formation cannot cover both targets, he entrusts half of the soldiers to his disciple Zhenbao while personally holding off the Fiendgod. The division shows both the scale and the limit of his command: the united army can overpower Xiangliu Fang in a direct exchange, yet sophisticated treasures still create openings it cannot close. (Chapters 267–269)

As Youngflame Nong consumes treasures to pass each defense, Duohe's hope gives way to desperation. He reunites his forces, warns them that binding the final palace may mean the end of their descendants, and prepares to fight even if the whole population dies. He and Witchsui also try negotiation, offering safe passage in return for a corridor to the outside world, but Youngflame's group bypasses them instead of honoring such a bargain. (Chapters 269–280)

Ning's bargain and freedom

After Ning gains control of the estate key, he approaches the monster leaders with terms Youngflame refused to consider. Duohe initially weighs whether the monsters can seize the key, but their repeated failures convince him not to gamble the lives of his people again. Ning offers release into the Grand Xia world on the condition that their armies protect the Ji clan for one thousand years. Duohe investigates the risks, asks how the Youngflame clan could threaten a commandery city, and accepts only after understanding the obligation. (Chapter 280)

The agreement changes him from a defender of a prison into the leader of a displaced people. He gathers the monsters into carrying sacks, crosses the opened corridor, and uses long-distance teleportation to help move the group through the outside world. His alliance with Ning is therefore based on a concrete exchange: Ning provides the freedom Duohe has pursued for generations, while Duohe commits his power to the security of Ning's family. Protector of the Ji clan

Duohe and Witchsui are introduced to the Ji elders as powerful Loose Immortals and settle into their new role. Duohe later recognizes Immortal Diancai's ability and participates in the network of high-level defenders surrounding the clan. When Ning's immense divine sense sweeps across their estate, both Diremonster Immortals immediately become alert, then reaffirm that they will protect the Ji clan because they owe Ning their escape. (Chapters 281, 286, 290, and 394–395)

His last confirmed scenes leave that debt intact. The corpus does not record his death, an ascension beyond the Loose Immortal level, or the completion of the thousand-year term, so his status after Chapter 395 remains unknown.

Appearance and personality

Duohe appears as a silver-haired, feather-robed middle-aged man whose eyes flash like electricity. His bearing is graceful and leisurely even though he is the estate world's oldest and most formidable resident. After his forces fail to stop Youngflame's advance, that composure visibly erodes and he seems to age under the weight of the defeat. (Chapters 267 and 269)

He is cautious without being passive. Duohe tries alliance, battle, division of command, and negotiation before accepting that seizing the key would only repeat earlier failures. His questions about the Grand Xia show a leader considering the safety of tens of thousands rather than pursuing freedom blindly. Once he accepts Ning's bargain, gratitude becomes a durable obligation: he protects the Ji clan because he believes rescue created a debt that must be honored. (Chapters 267–280 and 394–395)

Abilities and cultivation

Duohe is a powerful Loose Immortal Diremonster, the strongest individual in the Immortal estate world. His personal cultivation is formidable, but his largest demonstrated battlefield effects come from directing the collective elemental ki of tens of thousands of armored Dao-soldiers. (Chapters 266–268)

Seawave Dao-soldier formation

The large army is initially identified as the Titanwave Dao-soldier formation; the soldiers and armor used under Duohe's expanded command are subsequently called the Seawave Dao-soldiers and Seawave formation. Dao-armors channel each monster's elemental ki into a unified construct shaped like a massive, sky-covering wave. Duohe serves as its “head,” deciding when the accumulated force attacks, defends, or changes targets. (Chapters 266–268)

With more than twenty thousand participants, the formation can strike a fortified warship and tear the flesh of the Fiendgod Xiangliu Fang, leaving him unable to win a head-on contest. Duohe can divide it into two smaller formations, delegating one to Zhenbao while retaining the other. Division improves coverage but also reduces the power concentrated against each target. The formation further depends on the soldiers' coordination and armor; it is not proof that Duohe alone can reproduce the same scale. (Chapters 268–269)

Immortal senses and teleportation

Duohe can extend divine sense into and through the corridor Ning opens between worlds, allowing him to verify that an outside realm truly lies beyond it. Later, he detects the pressure of Ning's far greater divine sense and immediately recognizes the danger. These scenes establish spiritual perception, but not its exact maximum distance. (Chapters 280 and 394–395)

He also performs long-distance and shorter-range teleportation while guiding the freed monsters through the Grand Xia world. Shorter jumps are explicitly easier for him. The ability supports group travel, though the largest population is first gathered into carrying sacks rather than teleported as thousands of separate bodies. (Chapter 280)

Relationships

• Immortal Witchsui: Witchsui is Duohe's fellow monster leader. They swear a Dao oath, coordinate their armies, accept Ning's bargain together, and jointly protect the Ji clan. (Chapters 266–280 and 394–395)
• Ji Ning: Ning frees Duohe and his people in exchange for a thousand years of protection for the Ji clan. Duohe later treats that rescue as a binding moral debt. (Chapters 280–281 and 394–395)
• Xiangliu Fang: Duohe's united Seawave formation overpowers Fang in direct exchanges, although Fang's interference helps Youngflame's warship keep moving. (Chapters 266–269)
• Zhenbao: Duohe's most trusted disciple and second-strongest subordinate. Duohe delegates half of the Seawave army to him during the attempt to cover two targets. (Chapter 268)
